The Hippie Preacher: Laura Dern (Everything Will Be Alright, Gracie), Emile Hirsch (Free the Chicago Seven!, Poison Ivy) and Ben Schnetzer (Gears of War, The Grizzlies) have joined Wyatt Russell and Kyle Chandler in Darren Aronofsky's Lonnie Frisbee biopic The Hippie Preacher. Dern will play Chandler's wife, Hirsch will play a man Russell is in a complicated relationship with, while Schnetzer will play a young preacher. Alex Conn penned the script.
Resident Evil 5: Saoirse Ronan (Atlantis: Bloodline, The Driftwood Populace) is set make an appearance in Resident Evil 5 as her character Jill Valentine. Also joining the film will be new faces Morena Baccarin (Winter's Displeasure, Aliens vs. Predator: The Long War) and Michael Pitt (Citizen, Grayson). James Wan once again directs the video game adaptation from a script by Carl Flimmer.
Nightcrawler: Demons of the Past: Astrid Berges-Frisbey (Cold, The Vault), Kristin Scott Thomas (Suzanne, The Mummy) and Billy Nighy (Living, Supercrooks) have joined the latest Marvel Universe film, this one based on the teleporting mutant Nightcrawler. Berges-Frisbey will play the mutant Daytripper, Thomas will play a sorceress, and Nighy will play Fitzroy, a member of the Hellfire Club. Mike Flanagan directs the Jamie Bell-led film from a script by Jimmy Ellis.
Ruthersville, Brazil: Wagner Moura ("Narcos", The Gray Man) and Alice Braga (Hypnotic, The Suicide Squad) have joined the cast of Ruthersville, Brazil as some Brazilian locals who have dealing with a city being built in the jungle by a car mogul. Margarita Levieva (Future World, "The Deuce") has also joined the project as the wife of Adrien Brody's character. Alejando G. Inarritu directs the film. Wyatt Allen penned the film, inspired by the true story of Henry Ford's Fordlandia project.
The Girls: The ensemble cast of the adaptation of Emma Cline's novel The Girls has gotten even bigger with the additions of Dylan Sprayberry (The Last of the Mohicans, Maledicta), Sophia Lillis (Girl in the Fog, Stained), Emilia Jones (Coda, "Locke & Key), Sunny Suljic (Free Spirit, An Eye For An Eye) and DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World Dominion, The Harder They Fall). Jodie Foster directs and stars in the project based on an adaptation by Rosie JoLove.
Batman: Knightfall: Several familiar faces are set to return in this 5th Batman film, with Chris Rock (Batman: In the Shadows, Spiral), Caleb Landry Jones (Task Force X: Chaos and Madness, Cocaine Cowboys), Tatiana Maslany (Birds of Prey, Lady Red) and Adele Exarchopoulos (Birds of Prey, Judas Iscariot) all back for more as District Attorney Harvey Dent, The Joker, Selina Kyle / Catwoman, and Tatiana Al Ghul, respectively. Joseph Kosinski directs from a script by APJ.
