"Tarzan by James Wan and APJ is a real gem. Much more violent, and much grittier than any adaptation I’ve seen, Tarzan manages to maintain a fast pace throughout. I do wish, however, that we spent some more time in the quieter moments with the characters. Cosmo Jarvis is a man on the rise, even though he is only in the first little part of the film. Jason Momoa depicts Tarzan well and Hayley Atwell is a perfect Jane." - J. Darrell Ellington, Behind the Camera
"Even though I’m not really a fan of new iterations of already well known and received animated movies, I feel like this one was really solid. While it stayed true to the core of the story, a few changes here and there from writer APJ gave the story some new life. Jason Momoa seems born to play this role and he delivers a great performance, I liked the chemistry between him and Hayley Atwell. Timothy Spall also stood out to me with his interpretation of Professor Archibald Porter." - Clark Chase, Chicago Sun-Times
"Tarzan reimagines the classic tale with thrilling action and compelling performances. Jason Momoa's portrayal of Tarzan captures the character's primal energy and inner conflict. The lush cinematography and dynamic action sequences, particularly the battles with the Leopard Society, are captivating. Hayley Atwell as Jane Porter adds emotional depth, displaying excellent chemistry with Momoa. This Tarzan is a visually stunning and emotionally engaging film that revitalizes Edgar Rice Burroughs' iconic character for modern audiences." - Michael Carthage, Associated Press
Rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action and violence, and some partial nudity
