Reaction: Dwight Gallo's X-Men films continue to be steady performers at the box office, with this fourth film becoming the highest grossing film in the X-Men franchise yet.

"Dwight Gallo's X-MEN series has consistently delivered emotional depth, each installment resonating with the central theme. Tackling the DARK PHOENIX arc without Garland seemed daunting, but under the direction of Miguel Sapochnik (known for Skyrim), HELLFIRE manages to be a powerful climax to the ongoing saga. Though a few subplots occasionally felt off-key, the ending was deeply moving, leaving me nearly in tears. The film's impact lingers, making me curious about what lies ahead." - Mel Leong, Screen International

"X-Men Hellfire for me was a bit of a let down compared to previous X-Men films. This one in particular felt incomplete. Sapochnik was an inspired choice for the film once Garland stepped down but I feel let down by the action of it all. While all characters had something to do I felt most were still underwritten. In saying all of this it was still not a bore to sit through. There were many sequences throughout that I loved, a Nightcrawler and Azazel one in particular. If you’re a fan of the comics, the films and the characters, you will still like this." - J. Johnson, DailyMovieNews.com

"X-Men: Hellfire, directed by Miguel Sapochnik, delivers intense action and impressive visuals, particularly with Nightcrawler's teleporting duel with Azazel and the Phoenix's destructive rampage above Philadelphia. The film excels in its action sequences, but its numerous characters and subplots create a somewhat disjointed narrative. Jamie Dornan's Cyclops and Toby Stephens' Professor Xavier provide strong anchor points, yet characters like Emma Frost and Mystique feel underdeveloped. While Dwight Gallo's script balances action with emotional depth, particularly between Cyclops and Jean Grey, it struggles to maintain cohesion. X-Men: Hellfire is thrilling with standout performances and visuals but lacks the depth and cohesiveness of the franchise's best entries." - Joseph Goodrich, Salt Lake Tribune

Rate PG-13 for intense sequences of action, violence, and some disturbing images
