Resume: Jeremy Allen White

Few actors have catapulted from up and comer to bankable star in recent years like Jeremy Allen White has, so it seems only natural for him to be the next subject for this latest edition of Resume.

Season 21
Knievel
Director: Taylor Kitsch
Writer: Matt Parker

Budget: $42,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $80,047,138
Foreign Box Office: $56,834,495
Total Profit: $44,970,555

Jeremy Allen White made his LRF debut more recently than usual for subjects of this segment, appearing in a supporting role in Taylor Kitsch's Evel Knievel biopic as Knievel's trusted assistant. The film was a hit at the box office while securing strong reviews.

Season 23
American Idiot
Director: David Michod
Writer: Meirad Tako

Budget: $15,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $15,514,138
Foreign Box Office: $11,197,050
Total Profit: -$12,754,450

In White's first lead role for the studio, things did not go quite as well. American Idiot, based on the Green Day music album - not the stage musical, failed to latch on with audiences or critics, underperforming in both arenas.

Season 29
The Tomb of Dracula
Director: Adam Wingard
Writer: Jack Brown

Budget: $85,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $147,480,094
Foreign Box Office: $232,585,246
Total Profit: $86,415,472

Like most rising stars, a role in a major superhero film was inevitable. White starred as Frank Drake in the film where he plays a descendant of Count Dracula. The film received mixed reviews, but was a big box office hit for the studio.

Five Boroughs
Directors: Josh & Benny Safdie
Writers: Jimmy Ellis & John Malone

Budget: $28,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $39,588,504
Foreign Box Office: $20,492,999
Total Profit: $3,490,000

Jeremy Allen White wasn't done in Season 29 as he next starred in the crime thriller Five Boroughs. White won his first GRA trophy for his performance, sharing the award for Best Starring Couple with co-star Toby Wallace. The film went on to win two more awards along with four more nominations.

Season 30
Wonder Bean
Director: Robert Zemeckis
Writer: Sammy-Jo Ellis

Budget: $95,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $100,401,338
Foreign Box Office: $185,338,235
Total Profit: $36,081,040

Hot on the tails of his immensely successful Season 29, White next starred in the big budget post-apocalyptic film Wonder Bean. He plays a young father navigating a wasteland with the company of a "wonder bean" robot. The film was another hit for White's resume along with another film that garnered strong critical scores.

Up Next:
