Plot: Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Laura Barton (Linda Cardellini) are house hunting in New York, as now they can live in the general public as Clint has taken his retirement. While finalizing the houses Clint realizes crime is rampant in the neighborhood. Clint convinces Laura that they should move from the farmhouse after 3 more months while Clint would stay here and adjust the house for their arrival.
On his first night of patrolling, he notices three tracksuit mafia goons stealing from the locals. He follows them to their headquarters and ambush them, when he confronts their leader (Stan Lee). The Tracksuit mafia leader runs for his life saying he is retiring. Hawkeye notices a dog in cruel conditions in their head quarters and rescues him and brings him back to his apartment and names him "Lucky".
In the following nights of his patrol he is joined by Lucky who has taken a liking to Pizza and eats a lot of it. Clint notices a very hidden drug cartel is running in the streets. After a few days of following he successfully traces one of them back to a warehouse and plans to attack them the other day. The next day when he infiltrates the warehouse he sees that the cartel members were already attacked and find arrows similar to his at the scene. The same night he decides to try to capture another one of them. He follows them and attacks them but soon find the numbers to overwhelming to him alone and was going to lose the battle suddenly another archer comes to his aid wearing purple color costume similar to his, together they defeat the members but they were unsuccessful in catching them to extract information. The other Hawkeye also runs and Clint runs for it. After a chase Clint catches the other Hawkeye but he is surprised to see it is a 20 something girl (Katherine Langford) and in the moment of surprise, the other Hawkeye is successful in running.
When he returns back to his apartment he sees the other Hawkeye is inside his apartment and playing with Luke. She reveals herself as Kate Bishop and is here to plan their next step on the cartel but Clint refuses any of it and advises to stay her out of it as she is too young to take part in all this mess. Kate says he will need her help and goes out of his apartment.
The next day, Clint sees one of the escaped cartel member meeting with Bruno Carnelli (Vincent Piazza) and connects the dots that he might be behind this and starts to follow him. He follows him to a warehouse in outskirts. Clint is successful in infiltrating the ware house and notices that this is where they are making the drugs, He also notices that Bruno is talking to someone name Starr on the phone. Clint is almost successful in getting out of the the warehouse but is spotted by John Nash (Brain Thompson). In ensuing fight Clint was on the losing side until once again Kate swoops in and saves him from Nash and they both escape.
Clint sees that he cannot stop Kate from participating in this and figures it would be better if they trained together as it would also help him to dust off his rust.
In the coming days they both do small attacks on Bruno operations where they both participate as it is a contest of who is better. After a few days they notice Bruno, John and all his gang has vanished from the city.
Clint gets a SOS from his brother Barney Barton (Steve Zahn) to meet him. Clint gets a helicopter from his sources to meet him as he lives on an island and Kate and Lucky tags along. When they reach the island, Barney and Clint get into several contest to see who is better. Clint jokes how Barney is liking Clint stolen money spend on this island to which Simone (Tempestt Bledsoe) replies they are liking it very much.
Clint asks Barney why did he called him, Barney asks if Clint remembers the time he was nearly dead, he reveals at that time he was working on an undercover operation for FBI by working in Elihas "Egghead" Starr (Simon Pegg) lab. He was there to find about the secret project Starr was working on but before he find our he was found out by Starr team and was left to be tortured by his bots. He says he was unsuccessful back then but last week a report came in from one of my sources that the project is Deadly Ray Projector which will go live in the next week and I know it's location and want to destroy it.
Clint notices a motor boat coming towards their Island and gets alert to which Barney says "Don't worry, I take it back you should worry". The boat reaches the island and reveals to be carrying Bobbi "Mockingbird" Morse (Adrianne Palicki), Clint Barton's ex girlfriend/fiancee. Who is also called by Barney for help.
Clint, Barney and Bobbi create a plan to attack the location of the projector and destroy it. They notice they still need some weapons and still lack one more person to complete the job. Clint takes the responsibility of the weapons and Bobbi says she will take care of the missing person.
Clint comes back to New York, In a dark alleyway of Hell's Kitchen he confronts Turk Barret (Rob Morgan) who is tired of all this vigilantes showing up and gives the required weapons to Hawkeye. When Hawkeye comes back to the island, there he meets Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), who Barney introduces as Bobbi current on-off boyfriend/fiance and he will be the other man helping them.
Clint Barton, Barney Barton, Kate Bishop, Bobbi "Mockingbird" Morse, Lance Hunter and Lucky the Pizza dog, get ready for their attack and move to the location.
Lucky the Pizza dog will provide the distraction (this scene will be shot through Lucky eyes). Lance Hunter will take sniper position and cover their exits while everybody else will infiltrate the location. There they see Elihas Starr with Bruno Carnelli and John Nash. They understand that Starr was using the drug cartel to finance his projector.
In the coming fight Hawkeye faces John Nash and kills him while Bruno Carnelli gets badly injured while after a beat down from Barney Elihas somehow manages to escape. The others are successful in dismantling the deadly Ray Projector but somehow it triggers to blast the whole building containing it. All the heroes are successful in escaping while Bruno Carnelli fate remains unsure.
All the heroes enjoy a breakfast after coming back from the mission at Barney and Simone place.
Post Credits: Clint is packing his stuff and placing in trucks at the farm house to move it to the city. Suddenly Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) appears and says to Clint that the Captain needs him, to which Clint says he was expecting it and after listening this Laura starts bringing back their stuff to Farm House.
