Plot: Callum Smithson (Charlie Cox) father Brent Smithson (Anthony Hopkins) dies a natural death in the prison. Callum becomes highly depressed in grieving. He starts to drink in excess of what his body can handle. He starts to live his life as a homeless man, sleeping in the pavements, eating as a scavenger. His ex-fiancee Rose Adkins (Sophia Bush), a successful novelist comes to know about the recent developments in his life and for old time's sake comes back to town to help him.
After seeing Rose, for some moments it looked like Charlie was normal again but then again he went back to his lonesome life but Rose was adamant about helping him. She didn't leave him alone and stood behind him to come back on his steps but every time he failed the more she saw it she realized he didn't wanted to succeed. After that realization Rose confronts Callum. Callum eventually breaks down and says his father went to jail for his crimes, he took the blame of the car accident that took life of two people. He revealed his father said he has lived his life it's you who have his life ahead of him. Rose leaves after listening this.
The next week she comes back and take Callum to an Orphan house. She revealed the couple who died that night were survived by a little girl who now lives here. She said he needed closure and the only way to get it is to help the poor child who has gone through enough trauma.
Callum and Rose meet Julia (Abby Ryder Fortson) who has disconnected herself a bit from worldly life after the accident. Callum decides to help her in anyway he can, Callum forms an uncanny bond with Julia. With the help of Rose, Callum is successful in bringing back the inner child of Julia, which helped Callum find his way back into life.
Somehow Julia comes to know that Callum is the son of the guy who killed her parents. After a long stand-off she forgives him.
Six months later we see, Callum was successful in opening a small cafe, on it's opening we see Julia came with her new foster family and Rose with her fiancee to congratulate Callum.
