White Tiger: The latest Marvel movie from Last Resort Films has added to its eclectic cast with a handful of additions. Ted Danson (Hearts Beat Loud, "The Good Place"), Josh Charles ("The Good Wife", Whiskey Tango Foxtrot), Ali Larter (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, "Pitch"), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (The Man with the Iron Fists 2, 47 Ronin) and Victoria Justice (The Outcasts, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List). Danson will play a judge, Charles will play a cop, Larter will play a prosecutor, Tagawa will play a figure with ties to organized crime, and Justice will have a small undisclosed role. Jack Ryder wrote the script to the J.A. Bayona-helmed film.
The Lady in the Lake: Barry Pepper (Maze Runner: The Death Cure, The Lone Ranger), Christopher Abbott (It Comes at Night, "The Sinner") and Norman Reedus (Triple 9, "The Walking Dead") have all joined the latest from the Coen Brothers. Pepper will play a police captain, Abbott a young hustler and pimp, while Reedus will play the alcoholic caretaker of a wealthy man's summer home. Dwight Gallo penned the adaptation based on Raymond Chandler's novel.
Mass Effect: Silent Assassins: The latest Mass Effect spin-off isn't kidding around with its supporting cast. Ralph Fiennes (The Grind, Solution), Tilda Swinton (Okja, Doctor Strange) and Claudia Kim ("Marco Polo", The Dark Tower) have all joined the Mads Mikkelsen-led film. Swinton will play an intergalactic crime lord, Fiennes will play the leader of a group of slavers, and Kim will play an assassin. Duncan Jones is directing the film from a script by Seth Overton.
The Death of the Honest Man: Yorgos Lanthimos' latest film will feature a little "Arrested Development" reunion with Jason Bateman (Revolution, "Ozark") and Michael Cera (Molly's Game, "Arrested Development") joining the film. They will both play friends of Colin Farrell's lead character. Elisabeth Moss (Invisible Monsters, "The Handmaid's Tale") has also joined the project as one of the handful of women involved with Farrell. Dominic Wilkins wrote the script.
Real is Better:
Meirda Tako's (The Two Souls, Merdeka) latest film as a writer is going to be a wacky one. Real is Better will tell the story of a rap battle between humans and robots. Donald Glover (Solo: A Star Wars Story, "Atlanta") and Anders Holm (Game Over, Man!, "Workaholics") will play the lead human characters. Glover will play the creator of the so-called "rap bots" while Holm will an aspiring rapper who begins his career just as the robots have taken over the industry. Famed music video director Joseph Kahn (Detention, Neuromancer) will helm the film.
Paradiso:
The conclusion to Mo Buck and Tom Tykwer's Divine Comedy trilogy is finally underway. James Franco (Purgatorio, "The Deuce"), Kate Mara (Dead Space, Purgatorio) will return from the trilogy's second entry, Purgatorio. They will be joined by several new faces to finish out the series.
