Reaction: We can probably chalk this one up to the difficulty of marketing the film. It is not the easiest plot to market coherently, and we may have missed the mark on the focus. It happens, especially when there's no big stars or big special effects, but we're relieved the losses are minimal.
"Real is Better is just the kind of "bonkers" idea that is bound to become a cult favorite. The concept is so wacky it works. Humans taking on rapping robots? Eminem trying to kill himself because robots have taken his career? Count me in." - Eric Marsh, Denver Post
"While I recognize the camp value on display here, personally I couldn't get into the movie. The character development is sorely lacking, what little development there is doesn't make the characters more relatable." - Perry Manson, CinemaBlend.com
"Every once in a while a film comes along that doesn't really fit into any specific category. Real is Better has been marketed mostly as a comedy. There are humorous parts, but mostly the concept itself is funny. This lack of definition makes it hard film to really judge as well. I had no real problems sitting through the movie, so that will have to suffice as somewhat of a recommendation." - Clark Davis, JoBlo.com
