Reaction: The audience that turned in for the previous Ramsay/Ryder collaboration, The Life Ahead, just didn't turn out for this one, with it grossing almost exactly half of that previous work.

"While the date itself wasn't particularly interesting to me (neither lead actor is all that charismatic here), things are ramped up to eleven once they leave the restaurant. The first half of the movie is a forgettable, cliche-ridden date movie, but the second half is a nail-biting borderline apocalyptic thriller." - Charles Triano, Los Angeles Times

"This script would probably have worked better on an Off-Broadway stage than on the big screen. It's just not all that cinematic. And it's bland casting doesn't help. Anthony Hopkins always manages to inject life into a scene, but his presence here is barely more than a cameo. Alison Brie is usually likable, but she's just as boring as Charlie Cox and the rest of the cast here." - Tim Durand, San Francisco Chronicle

"Writer Jack Ryder is having quite the season, but this one is definitely not of the same quality as Numero Uno and White Tiger. Both lead actors are entirely uninteresting, with their political bickering being particularly annoying." - Mike Stotts, Portland Tribune
