Plot:
We see Adam Colspear (Charlie Cox) and his friend Racket Durk (Brandon Routh), Adam is getting ready for a blind date while Racket is giving him tips to do well in the date. On the other end we see Eve Starr (Alison Brie) getting ready for her blind date while talking to her friend Selina Jazeel (Sophia Bush) on phone.
Adam reaches the hotel where he is supposed to meet Eve and when they both see each other, both of them are enamored by each other and both of them vibe but when the date starts they both came to know that they support two different sides of politics which has taken the whole country for a ride in the days. They start arguing over their ideologies and decide to end the date and went on their separate ways. Adam tells what happened at the date to Racket and they both decide to meet at a bar. When Adam reaches the bar he sees that the bar has only one patron at that time which was Eve. Sensing the tension between his two patrons the bar owner Mr. Rip (Anthony Hopkins) decides to talk with them. He laughs when he hears their story and advises them that they are arguing on materialistic stuff, he feels that destiny plays a big part in all of us lives and it is no coincidence that they meet here again and this is a second chance to work themselves out, forgot about the parts they disagree and if it is bound to happen they will work their differences. Both of them decide to give it a go.
After some time while both of them are bonding over other things, Racket comes barging in with the news that the two political parties head were involved in a scuffle on live TV which has ignited a lot of flames. Thinking it will drop down they don't give a head to it and Adam asks Racket seeing that he and Eve has put aside their differences and are bonding asks Racket to leave them so they can continue on their date.
While they were dining, they see a lot of noises coming from outside, when MR Rip checks it he sees a mob burning around buildings, the trio check the news and sees that the scuffle has escalated a lot and things have gone out of control with both party supporters on road and have taken the violent way to react to this. Mr Rip closes the bar and tries to close down all the entries. Soon the mob breaks down the barricades and enters the bar and asks Adam, Eve and Rip their political affiliation. Rip takes out his gun and says that nobody need to tell anything and asks Adam and Eve to leave the bar from backside. The mob tries to attack but Rip fires a warning shot to keep them at bay. They both exit and run, they hear gun shots while running.
Eve contacts Selina who says she is trapped in her office building which is few blocks away, they decide that they should help her and then they move in the direction towards her. Adam also informs Racket about this, who says he will meet them at the office where Selina is located at the moment. Scared to death Adam and Eve slowly travel the now riot hit lanes while paranoid checking there every step.
After the 20 minutes journey which looked like hours to them ended when they reach the office they see a injured Racket there with Selina. Racket had a very close encounter with the mob, two people of the mob blindsided him but eventually he got the better of them. Four of them decide that they should try to get out of the city as the whole city is now a field for this mobsters.
Through the journey, Eve tries to remember her past good memories but every time her memories are jaded with the now near death experience they just had but surprisingly to her, her mind was comforted when she takes a look at Adam. When they were near their desired location a lone mobster confronts them, He tries to attacks Racket but all of them easily overpower him. They reach the outskirts of the city and with Racket needing rest they decide that they need to find shelter. After some time they find a house, they knock but the the occupants didn't opened but after some persuasion they reluctantly welcome them inside. They find out that the family that give them shelter are very scared so they decide to not tell the extremity of the riot to the family. Adam seeing the events that conspire around them professes his feelings to Eve who reciprocates his feelings.
After a while when they are all eating, the dark silence between them is broken when they start hearing voices of commotion coming towards their direction. Soon the commotion voices becomes clearer to them and they realize it's the mob coming towards them. Loud banging starts on the door, they ask the family to go and hide in the basement and they will come down after covering the entrances. While they start covering the entrances, the main door is broken down. Adam and Eve turns towards each other and stare in each others eye.
