Reaction: This sequel made less money across the board than its predecessor. The film was recently the subject of news of some production issues that raised the budget of the film by a large margin. Perhaps ending this particular series early was a good decision based these numbers. That said, just because this series is ending, it doesn't mean the studio, or even writer Roy Horne, are completely done with Star Wars.
