Season 12 release Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was originally intended to be the first film in a planned trilogy. However, those plans have gone up in smoke with writer Roy Horne ("Miami Vice", Red Sonja) and Last Resort Films president Phil Dolan making an announcement that this second film will be the end of the series. The decision may prove to be a costly one as the film underwent extensive re-shoots to wrap up the series in a definitive fashion, as opposed to the cliffhanger ending that was originally planned. The film has also undergone a title change, dropping the "Part", with the film now officially titled Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II.
