3. Box Office
While there haven't been any mega-hits at the box office, the studio is running a nice streak of seven consecutive profitable films. Me mentioning that will probably jinx things though, so cross your fingers and knock on wood for Round 4.
2. Batman Beyond
Batman Beyond definitely has some problems in the action and scale department. That said, a hit is a hit. Hopefully the theoretical sequel ups the ante.
1. Open Hearts
Open Hearts is right up there with Wish You Were Here, Excalibur and Poison Ivy as one of writer Roy Horne's best films. The film is impeccably cast with its four primary stars each giving arguably the finest performances of their careers.
3. Profits
Yes, the study is on a streak of profitable films - but the profit margin for most of the films have been fairly narrow.
2. Batman Beyond
Honestly, this one got lucky with the Batman brand alone carrying it to success. There isn't a single memorable action sequence in the whole film. The futuristic setting never really has an impact on the plot, serving simply as production design window dressing. On top of that, the film didn't have any kind of strong villainous presence. The hero of a superhero film shouldn't be fighting a henchman in any final battle.
1. House Without End
I just couldn't get into this one. It somehow felt bland and confusing at the same time. It's not a horrible film by any means, but I just didn't like it very much.
