Reaction: With over half of the film's sizable budget spent on its cast, this was arguably one of the riskier bets of the season. Thankfully it worked out nicely with the star-powered film making a good chunk of change.

"Some characters are hard to root for or care about, but the script by Chad Taylor moves along at a brisk pace despite all its moving parts. There are probably one or two plot threads too many, the world of the film is so richly detailed and the performances are quite strong." - Brenton Smalls, Playboy

"Broadway is certainly lacking in focus at times, but that doesn't deter it too much. The characters are so well drawn and cast that a lot of the film's flaws and indulgences can be forgiven - a long-standing tradition of Tarantino's work." - Cal Crowe, Washington Globe

"Amazing. Everything came together in the end, wrapped in a nice bow. Rihanna’s best performance of her acting career by far. In fact for the most part the whole cast was great. Bradley Cooper in my opinion was the least impressive. The sub-plots all came to a great conclusion. Quentin Tarantino directs scenes like only he can. Broadway is a hit for me.I would have to say the stars of the show for me are Adam Sandler and Josh Hartnett. Sandler delivering a performance we haven’t seen from him and Hartnett as the conflicted detective. Chad Taylor delivers once more." - J. Johnson 63, DailyMovieNews.com
