Elektra: It turns out that Chuck Norris (The Expendables 2, The Cutter) has joined Elektra, his first major acting role in years. He will play Stick, a blind martial arts master who trained Elektra and Daredevil in the comics. Takeshi Kitano (Ghost in the Shell, Outrage Coda) and Caterina Murino (The Squad, Casino Royale) have also joined the film. Kitano will play the leader of The Hand and Murino will play a target of Elektra. Zack Snyder directs the film from a script by Dwight Gallo.
The Betrothed: Martin Scorsese's latest film is looking like it will have a massive ensemble cast with Stanley Tucci (Kurt & Courtney: All Apologies, Mass Effect: First Contact), Mia Wasikowska (Germinal, Odette), Mark Strong (Resident Evil 4, Crimson) and Karl Urban (The Lone Gunman, Alien: Out of the Shadows) joining the film - and will still have a handful of roles left to cast. Urban will play a feared criminal, Strong will play a father-like friar, Wasikowska will play a nun, while Tucci will play a cowardly priest. Ben Collins penned the adaptation of Alessandro Manzoni's 1828 novel.
Who Watches the Watchmen: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Cocaine Cowboys, 6 Underground), Matthew Fox (Metal Gear Solid, Bone Tomahawk) and Fionn Whitehead (Missing Men, Doppelganger 2) have signed on for three major roles in the sequel to the Watchmen comic series from director James McTeigue and writer Jimmy Ellis. Garcia-Rulfo will play a man who has taken up the Roschach mantle, Fox will play Dr. Manhattan and Whitehead will play the son of Nite Owl and Silk Spectre.
Super Grover: Other than Ed Norton and Jim Carrey, the rest of the cast will be made up of the various puppeteers, voice actors and cast members from the Sesame Street television series. Frank Oz directs the big screen film based on a script by Jacob Jones.
OZ: Jordi Molla (Pirate Latitudes, The Tournament) has been cast as this more horror-centric Wizard of Oz adaptation as the Scarecrow - a rotting man made of sticks, straw and barbed wire. Also joining the film are William Fichtner (X-Men, Mass Effect 3 - Part 2) and Ewan Bremner (First Cow, Wonder Woman). Their roles are still under-wraps though. Marcus Nispel directs the film from a script by new writer Jack Brown.
Odysseus - Part Two: A boat-load of cast members from Part One are officially back for the conclusion of director Ridley Scott's (The Last Duel, Odysseus - Part One) epic based on Homer's Odyssey. Michael Fassbender (Recursion, Odysseus - Part One), Jessica Chastain (Painkiller Jane, Odysseus - Part One), Tom Holland (The Journey, Odysseus - Part One), Rachel Weisz (Prodigy, Odysseus - Part One) and Richard Madden (2060, Odysseus - Part One) are all returning to their roles from the first film. Andrew Doster (Odysseus - Part One, The Curse of Janara) is also back as writer on the project.
