Reaction: Sammy-Jo Ellis isn't quite having the same box office success as her brother, but this one didn't flop as hard as her last film, Troll Mountain.

"I've never played the game, so I can't say how well this film represents it. That said, Among Us, the film, is a solid and tense sci-fi thriller. It's loaded with talented actors/actresses who give some extra life to some thinly written characters. It's film influences are pretty obvious, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the film." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press

"Now gotta admit I wasn't feeling this from the announcement & the trailer. After actually seeing, I'm kinda confused by it all. At one point, it feels like a mix of The Thing with Alien but that's to be expected (Since the OG copied itself constantly). Yet, I found director, André Øvredal's direction suspenseful at times but kept me tagged along. Too bad only some of this interesting cast gets time to shine as some like Wood, Patel, Huisman, and/or McElligott, the badass of this crew. Overall, I'd say not the worst video game adaptation but not even close to what could've been." - Avery Wendell, IGN

"Among Us is a well-written and well-directed film. It delivers elements you want out of a sci-fi horror/thriller project, along with a fantastic ending. The only problem I had was that about half the cast don't really get to do anything, with the talented performers clearly grasping for anything to do. It does feature probably the best work I've seen from Evan Rachel Wood since she was a teenager though." - Cooper Wilson, The Earl Hays Press

Rated R for graphic violence, frightening imagery and some language
