Paki: To round out its cast, Joe Alwyn (Pocahontas, Pulp), Paki has added Florian Munteanu (Red Sonja: Blood + Bone, Creed II) and MMA fighter Conor MacGregor to its cast. While the film is not necessarily a sequel of Pulp, Alwyn will be reprising his role as inept boxer Marcus Baynes from that film in Paki. Munteanu will play an imposing fighter in the film, while MacGregor will play a volatile fighter trained and managed by Tom Hardy's character. Guy Ritchie directs from a script by Jimmy Ellis and John Malone.
Footage from the Past: Celeste O'Connor (A Good Person, The In Between), Julia Goldani Telles ("The Girlfriend Experience", The Space Between), Annalise Basso (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blue Beetle) and Saxon Sharbino (Beyond the Law, "Freakish") have been added to fill out the ensemble cast of the found footage horror film Footage from the Past. The Blair Witch Project director Eduardo Sanchez directs from a script by Carl Flimmer.
The Devil's Run: Mahershala Ali (Audible, Justice League Unlimited) is back for a third film in the Devil's Westerns series as outlaw Harry Holt. In this entry, he is trying to get home to see his family with an army of bounty hunters and lawmen on his trail. Bill Pullman (Who Watches the Watchmen, The Devil's Revenge), Eric Christian Olsen (Daredevil, At the Mountains of Madness) and Lucas Till (The Devil's Revenge, McCain) are also all returning for this entry as well. Irish filmmaker Lance Daly (The Devil's Revenge, Black '47) is back for this one, which was once again penned by Jimmy Ellis (Atlantis: Bloodline, Made Men).
The Day: Joel Kinnaman (Eileen, Odysseus - Part Two) has been cast in a remake of a recent Italian horror film, The Day? Kinnaman will play a businessman who gets trapped in an elevator while a zombie outbreak occurs all around him. Emily VanCamp (Alien: Out of the Shadows, Parasite) and Matt Bomer (Uncharted 4, The Case Against 8) will also appear in the film. VanCamp will play Kinnaman's wife, while Bomer will play a police officer. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (The Current War, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) is set to direct from a script by Andrew Doster (Tinseltown, The Last of the Mohicans).
Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer: A team up of two popular Marvel Universe series, the Fantastic Four and the Silver are joining forces. Keanu Reeves (The Emperor of Latium, Silver Surfer: The Power Cosmic), John Krasinski (Fantastic Four: Doom, Mr. Big), Sarah Gadon (Halo 6, Fantastic Four: Doom), Jason Segel (Free Spirit, Fantastic Four: Doom) and Jack Reynor (Fantastic Four: Doom, Y: The Last Man - Part 2) are all set to return as Silver Surfer, Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Johnny Storm/Human Torch, respectively. In this film, they will team up to defend Earth from Galactus' latest herald, Annihilus. Gareth Edwards (Fantastic Four: Doom, Halo 5) is once again directing from a script by Mark Newton (Fantastic Four: Doom, Ghost Rider).
The Night Swim: Tessa Thompson (Arizona, Y: The Last Man - Part 2), Rooney Mara (The Glass Menagerie, The Crucible) and Joe Cole (Blue Ridge, "Gangs of London") have been cast in an adaptation of the novel The Night Swim by Megan Goldin. Thompson will play a true crime podcaster who goes to a small town that is being torn apart by a rape trial. Rooney will play a woman in town with a mysterious past, while Cole will play the young man accused of the crime. Nia DaCosta (Little Woods, Genetic Descent) is directing the film based on an adaptation by Rene Menzie (The Only Good Indians, Mexican Gothic).
