Reaction: The studio was definitely expecting better box office results given the name value of stars like Tom Hardy and Emily Blunt, but unfortunately the film just didn't click at the box office. Our marketing department thinks it could have something to do with the unique genre combination making the film more difficult to sell.
"The hodgepodge of genres in the film don't always mix together perfectly. When Paki is funny, it is really funny, laugh out loud funny. But there are some long stretches where the humor wasn't really there. If you like Guy Ritchie's early films, I think you'll like Paki." - Cal Crowe, Washington Globe
"Where Paki works best is the chemistry between its three lead actors: Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed and Emily Blunt. The plot itself gives us a fairly standard underdog sports story, but through a twisted, R-rated, vintage Guy Ritchie lens - which surprisingly works pretty nicely." - Brenton Smalls, Playboy
"Paki is a mixed bag for me. On one hand, the performances from its headlining cast elevate this to an award contender level (especially Ahmed, Hardy & Fiennes and sometimes Blunt). On the other, the story looks to go in a new direction but stumbles failing to recover at it last third act." - Dallas Atteberry, Belton Journal
Rated R for violence, strong language and some sexual content
