Season 28 has a new number one hit in the form of Duke Nukem, Here's The Roundup....
3. Box Office
The box office outcomes of The Spectre and The Actors basically cancelled each other out, so this round's financial success is all due to the massive success of Duke Nukem.
2. The Spectre
The Spectre has some definite flaws with its old fashioned storytelling, but once the set-up is over and Nic Cage has become the Spectre, things pick up big time
1. Duke Nukem
Not only was it an obvious huge box office hit, but the film was a lot of fun too. The script, the direction, the casting, the source material - it all worked great together. It's probably my favorite film of the season so far. John Cena for Best Actor?
3. N/A
2. GRA Race
The studio has obviously made a point of putting more award-friendly films early in the season, but at this point if the season ended now The Beat Goes On would probably run away with most of the trophies.
1. The Actors
The Actors actually has a decent concept for its characters and good casting of the two leads, but by the midway point of the story I could tell that Alex Conn couldn't figure out what to do with them next. Which would seem to be why we got the ridiculous Weinstein stuff all of a sudden for the third act.
