Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory: The cast for the latest Splinter Cell entry is complete now with the additions of Vincent Cassel (Hunt, Jason Bourne), Miraj Grbic (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, All That Remains) and Shin Koyamada (The Last Samurai, Heart of the Dragon). Cassel will play a cyyber-terrorist, Grbic will play an employee of the private military organization run by Douglas Shetland (Mark Strong), while Koyamada will play a Japanese diplomat.
Cosa Nostra: Pedro Pascal ("Narcos", The Prisoner), Julianne Moore (Pudd'nhead Wilson, Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Sophia Lillis (It, "Sharp Objects") will round out the cast of Denis Villeneuve's Cosa Nostra, prequel to Martin Scorsese's The Raven in the Night. Pascal will play a drug lord, Moore will play Stanley Tucci's wife, and Lillis will play Tucci and Moore's daughter. James Morgan wrote the script.
Drake: Christopher Nolan's low budget thriller project has added to its cast. Joining Christian Bale will be Lucy Liu ("Elementary", The Man with the Iron Fist), Grant Gustin (American Psycho the Musical, "The Flash") and Jack Reynor (Detroit, The Man with the Iron Heart). Liu will play Bale's partner, while Reynor and Gustin will play mysterious figures Bale encounters in his investigations. Newcomer Meirad Tako wrote the script.
Shōgun: Brad Pitt will be joined by a primarily Japanese cast in Darren Aronofsky's Shōgun, set in early 17th century Japan. Among those actors will be Tadanobu Asano (Silence, Battleship), Rinko Kikuchi (Pacific Rim Uprising, Kumiko the Treasure Hunter) and Tohoru Masamune (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Inception). Asano will play a lord who takes Pitt under his wing, Kikuchi will play a teacher hired to help Pitt acclimate to Japanese culture, and Masamune will play a samurai. Dwight Gall wrote the script based on James Cavell's 1975 best selling novel.
Death Dream: Rising star Alden Ehrenreich (To the White Sea, Flicker) has signed on to star in a thriller from director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake), Death Dream. The film is a remake of Bob Clark's 1974 film. Ehrenreich will play a soldier who is declared dead while fighting in Afghanistan, only to return home not long after his parents are informed of his death. Kyle Chandler (The Informers, The Question: Dark Tomorrow) and Diane Lane (Justice League, Trumbo) will play his parents. The script was written by John Malone (The Prisoner, To the White Sea).
The Banded Ants 2 - The Mortal Enemy: Voice recording for the sequel to the only animated film in Last Resort Films' catalog, the Season 2 hit The Banded Ants, has begun. Zac Efron (Bad Grandpa, The Greatest Showman), Selena Gomez (A View from the Bridge, Neuromancer), Dwayne Johnson (Rampage, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Margot Robbie (The Job, I Tonya), Eva Green (Sisters, "Penny Dreadful") and Doug Jones ("Star Trek: Discovery", Inhumans) will all be back as their various ant characters. Guillermo del Toro (Inhumans, The Banded Ants) will once again direct the project from a script by Jack Ryder (Hawkeye, Dishonest).
