Halo: ODST
Genre: Action/Sci-Fi
Director: David Yates
Writer: Dominic Wilkins
Based on the Halo video game series
Cast: Kit Harington, Amber Heard, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Liev Schreiber, Laurence Fishburne, Alan Tudyk, Michael Caine, William Shatner, Ed Harris, Chadwick Boseman, Alexander Skarsgard

Budget: $181,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $200,900,112
Foreign Box Office: $308,555,627
Total Profit: $104,099,988

Reaction: While the numbers are drastically lower than Halo 2 and a little lower than Halo, it is easily understandable due to the lack of the ever-marketable Master Chief from the bulk of the proceedings. It is still a super successful film. The box office of this and Mass Effect: Cerberus shows that your average moviegoer is more interested in seeing the familiar, but that enough of the fans will stick around for the side stories to make them hits in their own right.

"It generally feels pretty risky to make a film in a series without the main characters everyone loves, but here the ensemble takes precedence and it works." - Perry Manson, CinemaBlend.com

"It's interesting to see the more human side of the Halo series' Covenant wars. It's a nice contrast to Master Chief in the main films, killing Covenants left and right, but here our human heroes struggle with their duties." - Mark Plainsview, ReelViews

"I'm not sure who decided Kit Harington is a movie star. He lacks the charisma of a true star. Fewer scenes of him away from the others would have been preferred." - Sandy Glavine, Atlanta Constitution-Journal
