In Development

Mortal Kombat II: In addition to the several returning players in this sequel, there will be a handful of new additions. Kate Beckinsale (And Then There Were None, Trip), Zahn McClarnon (Radisson, "Nez Perce"), Jessica Henwick (The Grind, Underwater) and Yoshi Sudarso (Assassin's Creed: The New Order, Buffalo Boys) have all joined the R-Rated video game adaptation. Beckinsale will play a former queen the evil sorcerer Shang Tsung is reviving from the dead, Henwick will play Princess Kitana's sister, Zahn McClarnon will play the mysterious Nightwolf, while Sudarso will play the brother of Sub-Zero. Gareth Edwards directs from a script by APJ & Chad Taylor.

Kurt & Courtney: All Apologies: John Magaro (Huntress, Harrelson) and Nicholas Braun ("Succession", Zola) have signed on to play Kurt Cobain's Nirvana bandmates in the biopic, Kurt & Courtney: All Apologies. Magaro will play Dave Grohl, while Braun will play Krist Novoselic. Michael Angarano ("I'm Dying Up Here", Sun Dogs) has also signed on to the project, playing an old friend of Cobain's. Lon Charles and Alex Conn wrote the film, which is being directing by David Robert Mitchell.

The Nickel Boys: Jackie Earle Haley (The Stand, Spawn), Keith L. Williams (Good Boys, "The Last Man on Earth"), Cicely Tyson ("How to Get Away with Murder", The Trip to Bountiful) and Trevor Jackson (Kindred, "Gauntlet") have all joined the upcoming drama, The Nickel Boys. Haley will play the superintendent of a boys reformatory. Williams and Jackson will play boys living there. Tyson will play the grandmother of one of the main characters. Dee Rees is directing the film. Harry Wright wrote the script based on the novel by Colson Whitehead.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Part II: Several more familiar faces are expected to return for this sequel. Dominic Cooper (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Strangers Friends), Vincent Cassel (Germinal, Mass Effect: First Contact), Sung Kang (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, "Power") and Jeff Daniels (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jonestown) have all inked deals to return. Cooper returns as Sith Darth Malak, Cassel as mercenary Canderous Ordo, Kang as bounty hunter Calo Nord, and Daniels as Galactic Republic admiral Saul Karath. Michelle MacLaren has also returned to direct the film, once again from a script by Roy Horne.

Misfit: Gus Van Sant (Milk, Don't Worry He Won't Get Far on Foot) has signed on to direct his first film for Last Resort Films. The film, Misfit, will cover the tail end of movie star Montgomery Clift's life and career as well as the production of the film The Misfits. Joaquin Phoenix (The Host, The Carpet Makers) has signed on to star as Clift, while he will be joined by Christina Hendricks (Born in Brooklyn, Decrescendo) as Marilyn Monroe and George Clooney (The Lady in the Lake, High Society) as Clark Gable, Clift's co-stars in The Misfits. Chad Taylor (A Lost Sense of Heaven, The Killings) wrote the screenplay.

Lady Red: Just in case John Malone and Anton Corbijn's Crimson didn't whet your appetite for a female-led action thriller, Lady Red should help. Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep, Men in Black: International) will headline the film about assassins squaring off against each other. She will be joined by Hugh Jackman (Driving Around the Time, Fevre Dream) and Justin Theroux (Perfect Blue, The Powerpuff Girls). Details for their characters are currently being kept under wraps. John Hillcoat (Blackwater, Blood on the Moon) directs from a script by Jimmy Ellis (The Second Life of John Wilkes Booth, The Killings).
