Gears of War 2: Several new faces will join the sci-fi war action of Gears of War 2. Uli Latukefu (Next Goal Wins, Black Adam), Ray Porter (Argo, Zack Snyder's Justice League), Ryan Hurst (The Cape, "The Walking Dead") and Nora Arnezeder ("The Offer", Army of the Dead) have all signed on to the project. Latukefu and Hurst will play soldiers who assist our main characters, while Porter and Arnezeder will play Locust villains in the film. Zack Snyder directs the video game adaptation from a script by Mark Newton.
Madeline: A whole bunch of talents have signed on to lend their voices to the upcoming animated Madeline adaptation from writer Jacob Jones and director Steve Martino. Those talents, including several voice actresses from Martino's The Peanuts Movie, are: Shiloh Bearman ("Home Economics"), Quinn Copeland ("Punky Brewster"), Malachi Barton ("The Villains of Valley View", Under Wraps 2), Thea Eddey (Yellow Fever), Hadley Belle Miller (The Peanuts Movie), Venus Schultheis (The Peanuts Movie), Mariel Sheets (The Peanuts Movie) and Kensington Tallman ("Home Sweet Rome!").
Beasts: Lee Pace (Among Us, The Long Way Home), Christopher Abbott (The Stand, The Lady in the Lake) and Tobey Maguire (Sleeping Beauties, Sabbatical Recovery) have all joined Hill Valley Entertainment's Beasts. Pace and Abbott will play members of a mountainous tribal people, while Maguire plays an outsider who stumbles upon their village. Alfonso Cuaron directs from a script by Jimmy Ellis and Chad Taylor.
AKA Billy the Kid: The ensemble cast surrounding Austin Butler's Billy the Kid continues to take shape with Diego Boneta (American Dirt, The Immortal Iron Fist), Jacob Elordi (Tara's Web, Camp Manhood), Emilia Jones (The Girls, CODA), Lorenza Izzo (The Andromeda Strain, The Aviary) and Matthew Rhys (Daredevil, "Perry Mason") all joining the project. Boneta will play a member of Billy's gang, Elordi will play an old friend who helps him hideout, Jones will play a love interest, Izzo will play the wife of Pat Garrett (played by Nicolas Cage), and finally Rhys will play a corrupt sheriff. Baz Luhrmann directs from a script by Dwight Gallo.
Forever Hold the Peace: Camila Morrone (Worried Mind, "Daisy Jones & the Six), Martha Plimpton (Mass, "Sprung") and Rita Moreno (Akin, 80 for Brady) have joined the Maya Hawke-led Forever Hold the Peace. HG Hansen and Abbie Q penned the script, which is being directed by Sian Heder.
Harvard Psychology: Fionn Whitehead (Who Watches the Watchmen, Missing Men) and Robert Downey Jr. (The Beat Goes On, Green River) are set to star in Harvard Psychology for director Mark Romanek (The Price of Fame, Every Secret Thing). Whitehead will play a genius mathematics student at Harvard who takes part in a psychological study run by a professor (Downey Jr.). Sydney Chandler ("Pistol", Don't Worry Darling) has also signed on to the project as the teaching assistant of Downey Jr. Lon Charles (The Producer, Believe It or Not!) penned the script.
