In Development

Red Riding Blood: Violet McGraw (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Amityville) will be looking for more horror film success as she has joined Red Riding Blood as the film's version of "Little Red Riding Hood". Dylan Arnold (Oppenheimer, Halloween Kills) and Stefanie Scott (The Spectre, Shouts from the Well) have also signed on to round out the film's cast. Dan Trachtenberg directs from a script by Andrew Doster.

Gears of War 2: More familiar faces from the first film will be seen in Gears of War 2 with Lili Simmons (Gears of War, The Crow: Wings of Isaiah), Ted Levine (Nomad, Gears of War), Burn Gorman (Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer, Gears of War) and Martha Higareda (Tenth Circle, Gears of War) officially reprising their roles as Anya Stroud, Col. Hoffman, COg Chairman Prescott, and Dom's wife Maria. Zack Snyder is directing the video game adaptation. Mark Newton penned the film.

Madeline: Writer Jacob Jones (Idlewild Ranch, Get Georgie) is back with another animated project, this one based on the beloved children's book series, Madeline. Miriam Spumpkin (Family Portrait) will voice the title character, a young girl attending a boarding school in Paris. Meryl Streep (Winter's Displeasure, True West) will voice the teacher in charge of the students, Miss Clavel, Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Paddington 2) will voice the adminstrator of the school, Ariel Winter ("Modern Family", The Last Movie Star) will voice the oldest of the girls in the school, while Emma Watson (The Giver of Stars, Pompeii) will voice the film's narrator. Steve Martino (The Peanuts Movie, Ice Age: Continental Drift) has been tasked with directing the project.

Beasts: Florence Pugh (Eye of the Scarecrow, Run For Your Life), Anya Taylor-Joy (Survive the Night, Broadway) and Adam Driver (Undefeated Abe, Rookie's Road) have been cast in the lead roles of Hill Valley Entertainment's latest LRF production, Beasts. Pugh will play a pregnant woman from a
mountainous village who becomes suspicious of events that happen in her tribe. Taylor-Joy will play her cousin, while Driver will play one of Pugh's husbands. Alfonso Cuaron (Mass Effect: Cerberus, To the Other Side) will direct the film from a script by Jimmy Ellis (Task Force X: Jungleland, Norse: Valhalla) and Chad Taylor (The Beat Goes On, Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos).

AKA Billy the Kid: Austin Butler (Miracles, The Guest List) has been tasked with headlining a biopic of legendary Western outlaw Billy the Kid from writer Dwight Gallo (The Punisher: Last Exit, Berserker). The film will reportedly toe the line between fact and legend to tell the definitive story of the outlaw. Opposite Butler will be Nicolas Cage (The Spectre, Carpenter) as reluctant western lawman Pat Garrett who finds himself compelled to capture Billy the Kid. Joining the film's supporting cast will be David Strathairn (Zatanna, Revelations) as New Mexico Governor Lew Wallace, and Joseph Quinn (Troll Mountain, "Stranger Things") and Luke Grimes (Aliens vs. Predator: The Long War, He Kills) as a couple of Billy's fellow outlaws: Tom O'Folliard and Dave Rudabaugh. Director Baz Luhrmann (Elvis, The Great Gatsby) will make his LRF debut on the project, re-teaming with his Elvis star.

Forever Hold the Peace: The project was mentioned earlier in this season's GOSSIP RAG, and now will have begun to get official news on the production of Forever Hold the Peace. Maya Hawke (The Saints, OZ) will star in the film as a young woman who has a sexual encounter with another woman - only to learn that woman is in a relationship with her father. Kathryn Hahn (To The Max, "WandaVision") will play the other woman, while Ben Mendelson (Artemis, Klondike) will play Hawke's father. Satisfying Hawke's demand for a female director, Sian Heder (CODA, Tallulah) has been hired to direct the film which has been penned by sibling writers H.G. Hansen (The Hulk 2, We Were Never Here) and Abbie Q (The Giver of Stars, The Guest List).
