An Anonymous Girl: Dove Cameron (Vengeance, Good Mourning), Virginia Gardner (Amityville, AKA Billy the Kid) and Jeff Ward (No Promises in the Wind, Lock Every Door) have rounded out the supporting cast of LRF's latest novel adaptation, An Anonymous Girl. Cate Shortland is directing the film from a script by Rosie JoLove. The film is based on the novel by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen.
Tarzan: Jason Momoa's Tarzan will have company in the big budget adaptation in the form of Richard Armitage (Norse: Valhalla, Uncharted 3), Cosmo Jarvis (Kill Zone, OZ), Adelaide Kane (Midnight Tales, The Brilliant Friend) and Otis Dhanji (Talk to Me, Don't Me Me Go). Armitage will play a tracker on the hunt for gold in the jungles of Africa. Jarvis and Kane will play Tarzan's parents, while Dhanji will play a teenage Tarzan. APJ penned the script based on the character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. James Wan directs.
Rediscovered Harmonies: Sophie Thatcher (The Crow: Midnight Garden, "Yellowjackets") will follow up her hit, GRA-nominated role in The Crow: Midnight Garden with a supporting role in the Emilia Jones-led Rediscovered Harmonies. Also signing onto the film will be Lana Condor (Maledicta, Moonshot) and Sabrina Carpenter (Bunny, The Water Cure). Marielle Heller directs the film from a script by Ben Collins.
X-Men: Hellfire: Entering production following the pre-production directorial change is the fourth X-Men film, X-Men: Hellfire. Jamie Dornan (Northrock: Verge of War, X-Men: Sinister), Toby Stephens ("Lost in Space", X-Men: Sinister), David Oyelowo (X-Men: The Cure, Mass Effect: First Contact) and Jessie Buckley (Lowell, X-Men: Sinister) are all back as Cyclops, Charles Xavier, Beast and Jean Grey, respectively. In this film, the Hellfire Club tries to unlock the Phoenix from within Jean Grey. Miguel Sapochnik (Finch, Skyrim III: Dovakhiin) has taken over for Alex Garland as director. Dwight Gallo (AKA Billy the Kid, The Punisher: Last Exit) is back as the writer of the Marvel Universe production.
Love Is Embarrassing: The Holdovers breakout star Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers) has signed on to star in Love Is Embarrassing, the latest directorial debut from writer Alex Conn (The Actors, Free the Chicago Seven!). In typical Conn fashion, Sessa plays a college student with romantic problems. Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Civil War) and Olivia Rodrigo (Revival, "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series") will star opposite Sessa.
Eve of Destruction: Jeremy Allen White (Five Boroughs, The Tomb of Dracula) has been cast in the lead role in Eve of Destruction as a young man drafted into the Vietnam War. The film will shift between before and after his tour of duty. Woody Harrelson (Detroit: Become Human, Free the Chicago Seven!) and Jennifer Connelly (The Omen, The Vacationers) have signed on to play White's parents. Jeremy Saulnier (The Invincible Iron Man, Elysian) has been hired to direct the project which hails from writer Jimmy Ellis (The Final Will, Thorne) and producer Dwight Gallo (AKA Billy the Kid, Berserker).
