In Development

The Associate: Wasting no time, Last Resort Films president Phil Dolan and actor Shia LaBeouf have set up meetings with four different directors over the next couple days to fill the directorial vacancy left by Gavin O'Connor's departure on The Associate. Dolan has encouraged LaBeouf to become heavily involved in finding a director he can work with, so much so that LaBeouf is now reportedly getting a producer credit on the film. They will be meeting with David Koepp (Stir of Echoes, Premium Rush), James Ponsoldt (The Circle, The Spectacular Now), John Wells (August: Osage County, Burnt),  and David Gordon Green (Stronger, Pineapple Express). Dolan and LaBeouf are expected to make a decision as soon as possible. The film's release date has already been pushed back, but they reportedly would still like to release the movie during this current "season."

Jack the Ripper: Rounding out the cast for Harry Wright and Tom Hooper's crime-drama about the hunt for Jack the Ripper will be Helena Bonham Carter (The King's Speech, The Lone Ranger), Lena Headey (Dredd, "Game of Thrones") and Claire Foy ("The Crown", Season of the Witch).

Lancelot: Moving up its release date to fill the slot left open by The Associate's delay, this film based on the King Arthur legend has begun assembling its cast and crew. The studio has signed Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Terminator Genisys) to direct the project that will depict the meeting of Lancelot and Arthur as well as a love triangle involving them and Guinevere. Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones", Pompeii) has been cast in the title role. The studio is reportedly looking for a bigger name to play Lancelot's mentor, King Arthur.

Roanoke: Brad Anderson's supernatural depiction of the disappearance of the Roanoke Colony has cast one last important role as it hits the final stretch of its shooting schedule. Gil Birmingham (Hell or High Water, Wind River) has been cast as local Indian chief who encounters the Roanoke settlers.

XIII: Last Resort Films has just optioned Jean Van Hamme and William Vance's Belgian graphic novel series XIII. The plot resolves around an amnesiac who becomes embroiled in a conspiracy following the assassination of the President of the United States. The studio has already hired DJ Caruso (Eagle Eye, xXx: Return of Xander Cage) to direct the film.
