The Raven in the Night: Last Resort Films has purchased from new writer James Morgan. The high-profile crime-drama has Martin Scorsese attached. The filmmakers are currently talking to several stars about appearing in the film.
Libra: David Fincher (The Social Network, Zodiac) has been hired to direct a biographical film about supposed Presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald for the studio with Shia LaBeouf (Transformers, Fury) attached to the lead role.
Halo: Casting is underway on video game adaptation Halo from director Gareth Edwards. Clive Owen ("The Knick", Children of Men) and Chadwick Boseman (Captain America: Civil War, 42) have joined the project in the key supporting roles of Captain Keys and Sgt. Johnson. The filmmakers are still looking at actors for the role of the Master Chief. The unrealistic dimensions of the character (6'10" and 290 pounds) and the fact that he wears a helmet most of the film are making it difficult to attract the kind big-name star the studio would prefer for the role.
Sherwood: Rounding out the cast of this currently shooting Robin Hood film are Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Cinderella) as Robin Hood's love interest Marian, Dominic West ("The Wire", "The Affair") as the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Mission: Impossible III, From Paris with Love) as his henchman Guy of Gisborne.
