Breaking News

A casting decision has been made regarding the lead role in the studio's adaptation of John Grisham's The Associate. They had it down to three actors: Zac Efron, Shia LaBeouf and Miles Teller. What started out as healthy discussion apparently became a stalemate, forcing studio head Phil Dolan to make the ultimate decision.... Shia LaBeouf. Dolan was reportedly "very impressed" with LaBeouf's performance in David Fincher's upcoming Libra and is unconcerned about the star's trouble-making tendencies. However, as a result of Dolan's decision director Gavin O'Connor has dropped out of the project as he became more and more set on Miles Teller for the role as the days went on. Dolan and LaBeouf will reportedly reach out to directors over the next few days to see if they can't find someone who shares the studio's vision for the project.
