Breaking News

Last Resort Films executives and director Gavin O'Connor are reportedly involved in "very intense discussion" about who to cast in the lead role in their John Grisham adaptation The Associate. The role is that of Kyle McAvoy, a young, idealistic Yale Law School graduate who is blackmailed into working for a large, global law firm. The group is reportedly split between three actors: Miles Teller (Only the Brave, Whiplash), Zac Efron (Neighbors, Baywatch) and Shia LaBeouf (Fury, the upcoming Libra). Some executives prefer Efron due to his popularity within the younger demographics, LaBeouf has made big fans of some executives after they watched a rough cut of his upcoming Lee Harvey Oswald biopic Libra, while O'Connor reportedly prefers Miles Teller who he feels will be easiest to work with and knows can earn the audiences' sympathy. A meeting is set with studio head Phil Dolan, who reportedly will have the final say between the three choices.
