In Development

Paradise Lost: Rounding out the cast of angels in the Bradley Cooper-produced heavenly epic are Edgar Ramirez (the upcoming Birth of Frankenstein), Mahershala Ali (Moonlight), Timothee Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name), Rami Malek ("Mr. Robot") and Brian Tee (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows). Meahwhile Frank Dillane ("Fear the Walking Dead") and Margaret Qualley ("The Leftovers") have been cast as Adam and Eve. Tarsem Singh directs.

Maria: Following the upcoming 'Hunt', the studio has purchased another scipt from screenwriter Mo Buck's, this one an adaptation of the novel "Maria Chapdelaine" by Louis Hemon. Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild) has signed on to direct the project with Brie Larson (Room, Kong: Skull Island) attached to play a young woman who must choose between three very different men.

Creature from the Black Lagoon: Adding to Last Resort Films rapidly growing stable of monsters, Matt Reeves (Let Me In, War for the Planet of the Apes) has been hired to direct a remake of "Creature from the Black Lagoon". Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, War for the Planet of the Apes) has been hired to perform the motion capture for the creature of the title, the so called "Gillman", while Scarlett Johansson has signed a very lucrative contract to play the film's leading lady.

Sherwood: As if there weren't already enough movies about Robin Hood, now there will be one more. This one will star Dan Stevens (the upcoming Birth of Frankenstein) as the titular hero. Production has been set up in the Czech Republic, where Birth of Frankenstein has been shooting to accommodate Stevens' schedule as there will be a small amount of overlap with the production schedules of the two films, but the studio was dead-set on his involvement. Directing the project will be Robert Schwentke (The Time Traveler's Wife, R.I.P.D.).
