In Development


The Raven in the Night: The all-star cast continues to grow for Martin Scorsese's latest. Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, Doctor Strange), Kathy Bates ("American Horror Story", Dolores Claiborne) and Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine, Argo) have hopped on board in supporting roles. Ejiofor will play Amy Adams' boyfriend while Arkin and Bates will play her parents.

The Mummy: After being announced previously by the studio as part of their series of monster movies, The Mummy is now getting ready to go before cameras. Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend, Constantine) has signed on to direct while rising star Rami Malek ("Mr. Robot", Da Sweet Blood of Jesus) has signed on to play the titular Mummy.

Every Secret Thing: Three actors have been announced to join Daisy Ridley in Mark Romanek's Patty Hearst kidnapping film. Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Captain America: Civil War), Logan Lerman (Fury, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Jena Malone (The Neon Demon, Sucker Punch) have all signed onto the film which has just started filming in San Francisco. Mackie will play Donald DeFreeze, also known as Cinque Mtume, the leader of the American far-left militia group Symbionese Liberation Army. Lerman and Malone will play other members of the SLA, Willie Wolfe and Emily Harris.

Jack the Ripper: The studio has recently optioned a script written by Harry Wright about Jack the Ripper. Tom Hooper (Les Miserables, The King's Speech) is currently attached to direct the project which in the process of casting right now.

Roanoke: Brad Anderson (The Machinist, The Call) has just signed on to direct a supernatural-thriller film about the disappearance of the Roanoke Colony.  A long list of actors are being eyed for the lead role including James McAoy, Henry Cavill, Luke Evans and Charlie Hunnam.
