The Associate: Matthew Goode (Watchmen, The Lookout) has signed on to play the villain opposite Shia LaBeouf in the James Ponsoldt-directed John Grisham adaptation. Goode will portray Bennie Wright, who blackmails LaBeouf into gaining employment in a large law firm in order to steal information regarding one of the cases.
XIII: DJ Caruso is lining up quite the cast for this adaptation of the Belgian graphic novel series. First Taylor Kitsch signed onto play the lead role, now Bruce Willis and Mark Strong have joined the cast. Willis will play Col. Amos, a federal agent who assists Kitsch in uncovering the Presidential assassination conspiracy, while Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes, Kingsman: The Secret Service) will play a world-class contract killer known simply as "Mongoose".
Lancelot: Joining Kit Harington as Lancelot and Russell Crowe as King Arthur will be Richard Armitage (The Hobbit, "Hannibal") as the villainous Malagant, a former Knight of the Roundtable gone rogue. The studio is still having trouble settling on an actress for the role of Guinevere though. They reportedly have narrowed it down to a shortlist consisting of seven actresses.
The Last of Us: The filmmakers are currently trying to decide how big of a name actor to cast in the male lead role of Joel, but they have settled on Mackenzie Foy (Interstellar, The Conjuring) in the female lead role of Ellie, a teenage girl who is immune to an infection that has ravaged the United States.
The Osterman Weekend: Last Resort Films has optioned the rights to the Robert Ludlow novel The Osterman Weekend. Matt Damon has signed on to produce and star, and he will reunite with The Adjustment Bureau director George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau, Birth of the Dragon) who has also been hired.
