Last Resort Films, producer Charles Roven and director Gareth Edwards have finally found their Master Chief. Alexander Skarsgard has officially signed on to play John-117 also known as the Master Chief. The filmmakers were having some trouble finding a capable actor with the right stature who was also willing to have his face obscured by a helmet for the bulk of the movie. They met with many actors, but ultimately ended up dead set on hiring the 6'4" Swedish actor after meeting him. It reportedly still took some convincing to get him to sign on though, as the contract offered to him is apparently the biggest of his career by a very large margin.
