Reaction: This Bowie-inspired film has definitely exceeded all of the studio's expectations. Between this and Ghost Stories, Tom Hiddleston may also have finally shown an ability to open a movie based on his star power.

"Let me start by saying Fincher's direction is wildly miscasted, Tako's wild/weird storytelling to Bowe's crazed alter-ego fits his normal weirdness. Hiddleston makes sure Ziggy isn't too annoying while Sheehan & Monaghan handle themselves. Meanwhile, the soundtrack brings the weirdness and absurdness together like a shiny ribbon on top of a wildly wrapped gift." - Avery Wendell, IndieWire

"I wasn't sure about Hiddleston in the lead role of this one when it was announced, but I have to admit that he won me over by the end. The story is a bit disjointed at times, but Tom's charisma as Ziggy and the music help make up for it. It's a decent little film, even if it is far from director David Fincher's best work." - Frank Estelle, Boca Breeze

"This Ziggy Stardust tale feels like it takes itself far too seriously. Obviously the music is good since it is all from the album, but I'm sorry to say that this visual adaptation does not really add much to its namesake music." - Cal Crowe, Washington Globe
