Reaction: Writer Jacob Jones hasn't always had the best luck at the box office, but I think it's safe to say he'll be happy with the outcome of this one managing to make a solid profit for the studio.
"The story moved quickly and confidently, but upon further examination it honestly doesn't make much sense. Why does a classic rock radio station in Kansas have roving reporters in Germany and California? I found myself too distracted by the iffy details found in the story to truly focus on the story at hand - which is a shame as there really was stuff worth liking in Emergency." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press
"There were some definite issues with the logic of this alternate history thriller, but I can confidently say I was never bored. Bradley Cooper gives his second strong performance of the season, and director/co-star Angelina Jolie does a good job of keeping the tension of Jacob Jones' script amped up as high as she can." - Cal Crowe, Washington Globe
“I don’t know how to feel about this film. At times I really do like it and think it works, others I do not. A few inconsistencies in the writing that took me out of the film. The first act of the film I enjoyed immensely, the rest however I was on the fence. The performances were good but nothing to write home about.” - Bridget Alexander, Empire Magazine
Rated PG-13 for intense thematic material and some language
