Girl/Girl: Zoey Deutch (Rebel in the Rye, Before I Fall) and Liam James (Speech & Debate, "The Family") have been added to the cast of the upcoming romance from Eliza Hittman and Chad Taylor. Deutch will play Grace van Patten's best friend, while James will play a guy van Patten goes on a date with.
Grand Theft Auto: The highly anticipated video game adaptation from filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie has rounded out its impressive cast with the additions of Ice Cube (Barbershop: The Next Cut, Fist Fight), Danny Trejo (Juarez 2045, Bad Asses), Eva Mendes (Clear History, The Place Beyond the Pines) and Hong Chau (Downsizing, The Question). Oscar Isaac leads the cast as the enigmatic Claude. Harry Wright wrote the script.
Deprogramming: I, Tonya scene stealer Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya, Super Troopers 2) and Scoot McNairy (Booster Gold, The Associate) have joined Antonio Campos' Deprogramming. Hauser will play an associate of the main character played by Casey Affleck and McNairy will play an attorney who represents Tye Sheridan's character in a court case against Affleck. Lon Charles wrote the script.
High Society: Jesse Eisenberg (Cafe Society, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Frank Langella (Captain Fantastic, Draft Day) and Evan Rachel Wood (The Fog, "Westworld") have joined George Miller and James Morgan's ambitious sci-fi thriller High Society. Eisenberg will play a brilliant scientist, Langella will play a politician, and Wood will play a mysterious woman.
Survivor: Mary Steenburgen (A Walk in the Woods, "The Last Man on Earth") and Adam Scott (American Playboy, The Osterman Weekend) have joined Ryan Gosling and Rooney Mara in the Chuck Palahniuk adaptation Survivor, directed by David Fincher and written by D.R. Cobb. Steenburgen will play a social worker and Scott will play a talent agent in the satirical thriller.
Be More Chill: In hopes of adding some singing talent to the musical stylings, Be More Chill has added Hailee Steinfeld (Cape Torment, Last Rites), Camila Cabello (acting debut) and Becky G (Power Rangers) to its cast. All three will do their own singing on the project while the singing will be added for the male characters. Akiva Schaffera nd Jorma Taccone are directing the film from a script by Chad Taylor.
