What We Were Promised: Choi Min-sik (Lucy, Forbidden Dream), Michelle Yeoh (The Hazel Wood, The Grind), Manny Jacinto ("The Good Place", Bad Times at the El Royale) and Lewis Tan (The Grind, Dishonest) will round out the expansive ensemble cast of What We Were Promised, which tells the story of a family journey to the US for the American Dream and back again. Ang Lee is helming the film from a script by rookie writer Eden Townsend. The film is based on the novel by Lucy Tan.

Kazaria: Seann William Scott (Already Gone, Bloodline), Nicholas Braun (Kurt & Courtney: All Apologies, "Succession"), Keegan-Michael Key (Love, The Prom) and Andre Holland (Ghost Town, The Temptations) have joined the cast of director Guillermo del Toro's latest attempt at starting a franchise, Kazaria. The film will depict the inner-workings of a political race on a fantastical alien world. The film is based on an original script by Jacob Jones.

The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three: Caleb Landry Jones (Cocaine Cowboys, Excalibur) and Zoe Saldana (He Kills, The Story of the Assassin) have signed on to major recurring roles in the Dark Tower film series. Landry Jones will play drug addict Eddie Dean, while Saldana will play a woman with multiple personalities. The two of them are brought to Mid-World to join Roland's (Christian Bale) quest to reach the eponymous Dark Tower. Matt Reeves is directing the film based on an another Stephen King adaptation from Matt Parker.

Tokyo Rose: After finishing his work on Klondike Ben Mendelsohn (The Young Pretender, Under Pressure) has been rushed off to New Zealand to work on the World War II drama, Tokyo Rose. He will play an Australian military officer who is forced to work on Japanese radio broadcasts during the war. Also joining the film will be Tamlyn Tomita ("The Good Doctor", The Good Neighbor) and Ming-Na Wen (Isla Vista, "The Mandalorian"). Tomita will play an older version of the main character, Iva Toguri, played by Sonoya Mizuno. Ming-Na Wen, meanwhile, will be playing the character's mother. Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing the film from a script by Chad Taylor. The legendary Steven Spielberg is handling producing duties on the film.

At the Mountains of Madness: Tom Cruise (Green Lantern Corps, The King of Hearts) is back to work for LRF for the first time since being awarded his first Best Actor GRA for his work on The King of Hearts. He will once again collaborate with director Joseph Kosinski (The Andromeda Strain, Batman: Arkham) on an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's famed novel, At the Mountains of Madness, which tells the story of a disastrous expedition to Antarctica and the group's otherworldly discoveries. Cruise will play a member of the expedition, William Dyer, who serves as a geologist for the group. Recent GRA-winner Dwight Gallo (Cocaine Cowboys, The Punisher) penned the adaptation.

Ghost Stories: Tom Hiddleston (Purgatorio, American Outlaws) and Emma Watson (Time Passages, Story of Sade) will headline the supernatural horror film, Ghost Stories, from director Luca Guadagnino (High School, Isla Vista). Hiddleston will play a doctor brought to help investigate a mysterious death at an Italian castle. Watson has been cast as the nurse who assists him. They will also be joined by Rose Byrne (Fractured, Blood on the Moon) and Lena Headey (Ubik, Cleopatra) in supporting roles. The film was written by Jack Slipter (Escape the Unknown, Death in the Shadows).
