Reaction: Very solid numbers for a historical romance film, which isn't exactly the type of films we release a lot of. The rising star power of the three leads had to have helped this one pull in such an audience.

"Jimmy and John do it again with another heart-stopping showcase detailing the plight of Alexander McCann. Chris Pine is on point throughout as he ventures through late 1890s San Francisco. The ending fight especially is a sight to behold and the relationship between Alexander and Katy is the cherry on top." - Mitchell Parker, New York Times

"While there are many impressive things about Klondike, that is also part of the problem. There's too much going on. Is it about mining for gold, the cabaret, the romance, the railroad, or something else entirely? The film is still certainly more than watchable, but that lack of focus keeps it from achieving greatness." - Charles Yost, Oregonian

"Klondike is a top-flight production from top to bottom. The trio of performances from its three stars (Pine, Fanning and Stevens) are all award-worthy for their work bringing this period tragedy to life." - Janet Donnelly, Empire Magazine
