The Golden Reel Award Association has announced that they will by adding two additional categories to the ceremony starting with this season's award festivities. The awards will be for Best Starring Couple and Best Soundtrack. The Best Starring Couple Award will be awarded to the lead couple of a film, romantic or platonic. The Best Soundtrack Award is pretty self-explanatory, it will be awarded to the soundtrack voted to be the best. The Best Soundtrack Award is the more controversial addition of the two as not a lot of the studio's writers and filmmakers currently utilize musical soundtracks, instead utilizing score composers. Both awards are expected to be welcome additions to the already exciting end of season awards festivities.
