An Honest Mistake: Justin Theroux (The Prisoner, "The Leftovers"), Rachel Brosnahan ("Manhattan", "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Billy Magnussen (Birth of the Dragon, Game Night) will complete the cast to the Coen Brothers' upcoming dark comedy remake of the 2014 Swedich film Force Majeure. Theroux and Brosnahan will play a third vacationing couple when potential disaster strikes, while Magnussen will play a young man with an eye for Penelope Cruz's character. Chad Taylor wrote the screenplay.
Steins Gate: Jorge Garcia ("Lost", "Alcatraz"), Noomi Rapace (The Hunt, Bright) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead ("Fargo", 10 Cloverfield Lane) have been cast in Steins Gate from director Nacho Vigalondo and writer Seth Overton. Garcia will play a hacker who works with Sam Rockwell, Rapace will play an interesting friend of Lily Collins, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play the mysterious Alice.
Guilt: Christopher Plummer (All the Money in the World, Beginners), June Squibb (Nebraska, "Shameless), Emma Watson (The Circle, Beauty and the Beast) and Hannah Murray (Detroit, The Chosen) will join the ensemble cast of the Todd Haynes-directed and James Morgan-penned family drama Guilt. Plummer and Squibb will play the parents of Tim Roth, Hannah Murray and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Emma Watson, meanwhile, will play Murray's love interest.
The Creature: Shane West (The Informers, "Salem"), Sullivan Stapleton (Renegades, Cut Snake) Martin Sensmaier (Wind River, The Magnificent Seven), Ian McShane (Batman: Gotham Knight, The Wolfman) and David Ajala (Starred Up, "Falling Water") have been hired to round out the cast to Robert Egger's latest film The Creature, about a ship carrying a mermaid across the Atlantic Ocean.
Van Helsing: Daniel Craig (Logan Lucky, Spectre), Damian Lewis (Our Kind of Traitor, "Billions") and Robert De Niro (The Raven in the Night, The Wizard of Lies) have all joined the Michael Fassbender-led Van Helsing film. Craig will play a scientist who assists Van Helsing in his investigation, Lewis will play a colleague of Craig's who has gone missing, while Robert De Niro will play the villainous Dr. Alphonse Moreau.
Cyrano de Bergerac: Kenneth Branagh (Murder on the Orient Express, Cinderella) will direct and star in an adaptation of Edmond Rostand's play Cyrano de Bergerac as the title character. Rising star Hailee Steinfeld (Last Rites, V) will play the object of his (and others') affections.
