In Development

Synthetic: Common (John Wick Chapter 2, "Hell on Wheels") has signed on to play the primary villain in Francis Lawrence and Mark Newton's sci-fi film Synthetic. He will play a military android programmed to hunt down and eliminate the remnants of the human race. Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) has also joined the film as a member of the android council.

Demons: Nick Robinson (Blood Meridian, Synthetic), Joey King (Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Wish Upon), Thomas Kretschmann (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Hitman: Agent 47) have joined the cast of Eli Roth's horror remake Demons. They will all play audience members at a horror film screening that faces a demonic presence. Gabe Winsor wrote the script.

Road Rash: Kellan Lutz (Guardians of the Tomb, Experimenter), Paula Patton (Tumulus, Warcraft), Danai Gurira (Black Panther, "The Walking Dead") and Matt Gerald (San Andreas, "Daredevil") will round out the cast of director Robert Rodriguez and writer Jack Ryder's motorcycle racing video game adaptation. Lutz will play Officer O'Conner, a cop hot the trail of the motorcycle gangs. Patton and Gurira will play members of the motorcycle gang, and Gerald will play the main character's older brother.

An Honest Mistake: Hot off the release of Home Again, writer Chad Taylor is back with his second script. This time he has written a remake of the 2014 Swedish film Force Majeure that Joel & Ethan Coen (True Grit, Inside Llewyn Davis) are set to direct. Cate Blanchett (Carol, Thor: Ragnarok) and John Hamm (Baby Driver, 101) will headline the dark comedy depicting a group of vacationing couples and how they respond to the announcement of a disaster.

Steins Gate: Sam Rockwell (The Child Martyr, Delaware) and Jane Levy (The Informers, Don't Breathe) have been cast to star in an adaptation of the visual novel video game Steins;Gate from writer Seth Overton (American Outlaws, Mass Effect) and director Nacho Vigalono (Timecrimes, Colossal). Rockwell will play a brilliant scientist investigating a possible timeline jump involving Christina, played by Levy.

Displacement: Speaking of time travel, Sandra Bullock (Our Brand Is Crisis, Gravity) and Aaron Eckhart (Bleed for This, Sully) have been cast in Displacement, a story of a scientist traveling back in time to kill murderers before they strike and the FBI agent on the case. Bullock will play the scientist while Eckhart will play the fed. Jon Watts (Cop Car, Spider-Man: Homecoming) is set to direct from a script by Matt Parker (Six Billion Dollar Man, Delaware).
