In Development

Guilt: Gabourey Sidibe ("Empire", "Difficult People"), China Anne McClain (Barbershop: The Next Cut, "Black Lightning"), Michael Stuhlbarg (The Fountainhead, Star Trek: Enterprise) and Denzel Whitaker (Black Panther, Submerged) have completed the cast of Todd Hayne's Guilt as the characters in a side narrative about a young woman who grew up bullied. Sidibe and McClain will play the young woman at different ages, Stuhlbarg will play a high school teacher, and Whitaker will play a young man who bullies her.

Cyrano de Bergerac: Timothee Chalamet (Home Again, The Secret History), Jude Law (Jack the Ripper, "The Young Pope") and Stanley Tucci (Red Planet, Spotlight) have all joined Kenneth Branagh's Cyrano de Bergerac. Chalamet will play a young cadet who Hailee Steinfeld's character has fallen in love with, Law will play a villainous count, and Tucci will play Cyrano's closest friend.

Marvelous: Elizabeth Henstridge ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", Wolves at the Door) has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming drama Marvelous, about a doctor who survives a plan crash in the jungles of rural China. Chinese superstar Jackie Chan (Skiptrace, The Foreigner) will join her in the film in the only other role. The film will be directed by television director Jesse Bochco ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", "Murder in the First") and was written by Jack Ryder (Road Rash, Animus).

The Price of Fame: James McAvoy (101, Atomic Blonde) and Carey Mulligan (Mudbound, Suffragette) have signed on to headline the thriller The Price of Fame from director Mark Romanek (Every Secret Thing, Bride of Frankenstein) and writer Ann Morrow (Amelie, The Hunt). The film tells the story of a man who develops an unhealthy obsession for the actress who lives next door.

Dino Crisis 2: Last Resort Films has greenlit a sequel to Season 2 film Dino Crisis. The first film was a disappointment at the domestic box office, but a huge hit overseas. Karen Gillan (Dino Crisis, Synthetic) is the only actor from the first film to return for the sequel. This time she will be joined by Kit Harington (Lancelot, And Then There Were None) and Jamie Bell (Fantastic Four, "TURN: Washington's Spies"). One can expect that they will face off against violent dinosaurs once again. Frank Darabont (The Mist, "Mob City") will take over the director's chair for this sequel.

Missoula: Greta Gerwig (Ladybird, Jackie) has been hired to direct a remake of the 1983 film The Big Chill from writer Chad Taylor. She will also co-star in the film. Joining her as part of the large ensemble in the story about a group of college friends reuniting after their old friend commits suicide will be Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Sythetic, The Walk) and Chris Evans (The Cry of the Owl, Metal Gear Solid).
