In Development

Nexus: Rounding out the cast of Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi film Nexus will be action star Jean-Claude Van Damme ("Jean-Claude Van Johnson", Black Water), Dave Bautista (Halo: Reach, Mortal Kombat) and model Kate Upton (The Layover, The Other Woman). Jacob Jones and Mo Buck penned the film.

The Host: Fresh off shooting Jersey Devil, Frank Grillo (Wheelman, Stray Dogs) will join the production of Yorgos Lanthimos' The Host. Also joining the film will beKatherine Langford (Haute Couture, Tenth Circle) and Sally Hawkins (Life After Life, Jack the Ripper). Alex Conn wrote the script.

Justice League International:
Perhaps the most highly anticipated release in the history of Last Resort Films, the DC Comics Universe team-up film Justice League International is finally announcing its main cast. Armie Hammer (Green Arrow 2: Hunters, The Squared Circle) will return as Green Arrow, Billy Magnussen (Missing Men, Booster Gold II: The Booster Gold Story) is back as Booster Gold, Glenn Howerton (Plastic Man, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") as Plastic Man, and Scoot McNairy (Village of Madness, Booster Gold II: The Booster Gold Story) will once again play Blue Beetle. Michael Bay (Pain & Gain, Transformers: The Last Knight) has already been announced as the director, while the film has been written by the trio of APJ (Uncharted 2, Batman: Caped Crusader), D.R. Cobb (Splinter Cell: Conviction, The Question: The End) and Chad Taylor (Hands on a Hard Body, Ghost Town).

The Stand: The first film of Season 11 will be an adaptation of Stephen King's famous novel, The Stand. Taylor Kitsch (Outlaw Country, The Creature: The Beginning) will lead the cast as Stu Redman. Eric Bana (Cleopatra, Grand Theft Auto), Adam Driver (Sinkhole, Blood Meridian) and Angela Bassett (Dishonest, Black Panther) have also signed on to the film. Bassett will play Mother Abagail, Driver will play the deaf and mute Nick Anthros, while Bana will play the evil Randall Flagg. J.J. Abrams (Time After Time, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will direct the film from a script by Matt Parker (Displacement, Delaware).

Halo: The Fall of Reach: The beginning of Season 11 will also see another entry in the Halo series. Halo: The Fall of Reach will be a prequel to the first films in the series. Alexander Skarsgard (Halo 4, Numero Uno), Robin Wright ("House of Cards", Halo 4) and Sarah Gadon (Halo 4, God of War) will all return for this entry as Master Chief, Dr. Halsey, and Cortana, respectively. Matt Reeves (Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dino Crisis) is directing the film from a script by Mo Buck (Letter to Myself, Skyrim) and Dominic Wilkins (Metamorpho, Doppelganger 2).

Isla Vista: Another new co-writing duo will appear next season, with Chad Taylor (Hands on a Hard Body, Ghost Town) and Alex Conn (Life of a Champion Part 2, Hippies in New York) joining forces to write a film about the life of mass murderer Elliot Rodger who killed six people and injured fourteen others during a rampage in Isla Vista, California in 2014. Nick Robinson (Queen Mary, Synthetic) will star as Rodger, Colin Firth (Obsession, Mary Poppins Returns) and Ming-Na Wen ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", The Darkness) will play his parents. Luca Guadagnino (Suspiria, Call Me By Your Name) will direct the film.
