Total Profit: $228,990,221

Reaction: The box office was down a bit from the previous entry, but so much that we at the studio are worried about it. The profits were a lot lower however due to Tom Cruise's justified cut of the profits (plus the aforementioned lower worldwide gross and a higher budget).

"It was nice to see Tom Cruise's Sam Fisher get a little more personal with his missions this time around. He's always off saving the world, but this time he had to deal with enemies both global and in his own backyard, giving the film a more personal, emotional touch." - Chris Mears, Slashfilm

"While Laurence Fishburne's presence was mostly missed from the other entries, Karen Gillan's return was plenty welcome. She added some extra layers to her character making her much more of Fisher's equal than her previous appearances." - Audrey Columbus, Collider

"At this point, do we really doubt that Tom Cruise is going to save the day and complete whatever mission he is given. Aside from the one big surprise of the story, the rest felt rather familiar." - Alex Washington, io9

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence
