The three meet up at Washington Square Park and smoke marijuana and talk about podcasts.

Jane and Tommy go to The Moma the next Friday. Tommy fantasizes about Jane and Tommy having great sex in the all gender bathroom.
Jane also says Happy Birthday to Tommy and hugs and kisses as it’s his birthday tomorrow.
Tommy leaves and goes home to suburban New York and tells his mom (Laurie Metcalfe) about it and smokes his vape pen in his bedroom.
Tommy very much enjoys it and goes in for a kiss with Jane. They then both undress and have sex.
Tommy decides to do a poetry project where he writes a poem everyday for 30 days and sends Jane his poems everyday. This is shown through montage.
The book eventually, through Tommy sending his poetry to his mom’s friend’s husband, gets published through a small way. Tommy meets the publisher John McKinley (Paul Reiser) of The Hip Books. He says that your poems speak to the realities of teenagers and college students today. He tells Tommy that he should do readings across the city to promote the book.
He invites Jane to the book reading and Jane says she’ll think about it. The reading is happening and Tommy is expecting Jane and McKinley tells him to just go on.
Tommy reads the dedication to his book and it has him thanking Jane and he doesn’t see Jane and he gets a bit unnerved but finishes the reading ok.
He does the book signing and doesn’t see Jane there either. He texts her with no response
We see Jane doing work at her mom’s pottery store and being picked up by Sam.
Sam takes Jane back to his dorm and they have sex. After sex Sam and Jane discuss Outlaw Culture by bell hooks and Sam says it’s a bunch of horseshit assigned by his class. Jane says while bell hooks isn’t the best but she still has things to say.
Back to Tommy. He is in a meeting with McKinley talking about the success of the book. McKinley says that it is the most successful poetry book that the publisher has published.
Tommy sees Jane on the street and asks why she hasn’t responded to his texts and why they haven’t seen each other in a long time. Jane says that Tommy is a big time writer and she was overwhelmed by the idea of being a big time writer’s wife and she wanted to be her own woman. Jane says that he’ll meet someone. They hug and say goodbye
McKinley in their next meeting suggests that Tommy should write a novel. It will sell better than even the high sales of the poetry book. Tommy agrees.
Tommy decides to drop out of college and write full time. He has the support of his parents.
Tommy starts typing the title of the film which is “A Greenwich Village Love Story”
