Cast: George MacKay, Jodie Comer, Stanley Tucci, Jake Johnson, Ellie Bamber, Corey Stoll

Plot: Jason Shepard (George MacKay) is interviewing for a job at a company in Atlanta. The job doesn't seem to be difficult and he's all about being a security guard at Dave's Storage Unit. Tasks include things like keeping tramps and thieves from disturbing the 40 rental units that were arranged in five rows and helping customers with lost combinations for their locks. Jason is a little worried about the night, but overall it doesn't seem like such a difficult and dangerous job. At the end of the interview the employer says that he did well and that he would start already the next day.

The next day Jason is excited and impatient and arrives on his blue Suzuki motorcycle about twenty minutes early. A man in a Nirvana T-shirt (Jake Johnson) is sitting at a desk playing solitaire and a girl (Jodie Comer) with long hair is resting her feet on the other, with a cap covering her face. Jason greets shyly introducing himself and the guy who was playing cards rolls his eyes and starts putting his things inside the backpack saying his name is Tom. He says the day had been quiet and after a few seconds he adds that crazy people only go out at night having a big laugh to each other. This sentence does not reassure Jason very much but he decides to smile. The girl reacted to that joke by shaking her head and snorting. At this point Jason began to take a closer look at the girl who had taken off her cap. He stood there staring at her awkwardly for a while and at one point he greets her awkwardly. The girl opens her eyes wide and tilts her head in greeting. Tom looks at Jason to get his attention and quickly explains the duties and gives the appropriate recommendations by showing the various keys and telling them to let only the people who have the name in there. He says a guy almost got fired because he let his wife in and she left with her entire collection of very rare stamps in the middle of a divorce. At those words the girl said in a low voice "That someone was him" pointing to Tom. He ignores those words and starts heading for the door saying goodbye and wishing Jason good luck saying the night shift sucks as he leaves quickly. The girl shows the middle finger to Tom making Jason giggle. At this point Jason looks at the row of monitors and then again at the girl who had never taken her eyes off him and says her name is Britt.

Jason sits in the chair that Tom vacated saying he thought he was working alone. The girl makes a face saying that she is a tutor. The two start talking about everything from politics to sport and in a moment it is four o'clock. Britt suggests taking a walk to stretch her legs. There is a slight breeze and Jason can't stop watching Britt as they walk. The girl was wearing faded dark jeans, worn boots, a black T-shirt and a camouflage jacket. The two begin to walk the full length of the front row until she suddenly stops and touches with the toe of her boot a bright yellow dandelion protruding from a crack in the sidewalk saying that those are her favorite flowers. Jason looks at her puzzled saying that she had considered them just some kind of weed. Britt smiled softly and explains that dandelions are wishes that you just need to make a wish and blow on them. Then she says they are yellow, her favorite color. As they walk she says that she considers the dandelions to be happy and hopeful little boxes. That sentence fascinates even more Jason who watched the girl talk about her and although he had only known her for a few hours he was already practically in love with her.

The two arrive at the fourth row and Britt stops with a grim expression on his face. Seeing Jason's confused face, the girl pointed to door 27 saying that she scares her and never goes through there. The boy nods with a smile and they move on to the next row until they reach the last one. Jason sees a vending machine and asks the girl if she wanted a snack as she inserts the coin. The girl says no. Suddenly a phone rings abruptly making Jason jump as he drops the snack on the floor. Jason turns around laughing and sees Britt visibly terrified. Britt orders him not to answer, never to answer. She said the phone rings at 4:17 every night and if she answers she just hears a hiss. Then the girl quickly heads to the office and Jason ran after her. She turns and asks Jason if she believes in her ghosts. He replies that he doesn't know because he has never seen any. The girl opens her arms and makes a mocking sound. However, before she says anything, Jason says that her grandmother believed it and would often repeat that he had some particular visions in her life. Britt starts asking questions about the subject as she sits wearily in her chair, "So, do you think everyone becomes a ghost when they die? Or some move to another dimension? Why should people be stuck here?". Jason starts mumbling that maybe it was a violent death or because they still had a task to do. The girl mumbles something to herself and practically doesn't speak anymore until the shift change. The pleasant atmosphere between the two had vanished and Britt became apathetic, thoughtful or sad.

Abel (Stanley Tucci), their replacement, arrives. Britt leaves quickly without saying goodbye while Jason gives the man some information and leaves quickly trying to follow Britt leaving Abel quite stunned. Jason risks losing sight of her but catches a glimpse of her getting on the subway. Jason also climbs realizing that he might seem like some kind of creepy stalker and approaches Britt. The girl is surprised and she asks what he was doing there. He replied that she wanted to apologize if she said something wrong. Meanwhile an elderly lady in the next row was staring at them. Britt shook her head, as if all was well, but the lady gets up and moves a few places ahead. Britt tells Jason not to worry and that she didn't want to talk about it. Jason then said they could talk a little more about the dandelion, his new favorite flower. Britt laughs at the joke and again creates a new pleasant atmosphere between the two. Suddenly she approaches a man (Corey Stoll) who goes to sit towards the center of the seats. As soon as she sees it, she Britt stiffens. The man's gaze seems to be directed towards a young red-haired girl (Ellie Bamber) who is playing with her smartphone. At one point Britt stands up saying that she is her stop. Jason looks around puzzled wondering where they are and how he gets back to get his motorcycle. Britt tells her with a giggle to go back six stops and then she gives him an appointment at work. At the same stop the girl with the red hair also gets off. The creepy man watches the two girls get down.

During the day Jason continues to think about Britt until after lunch he goes out on the motorcycle heading into the countryside. It's evening, Britt and Tom are in the workplace, neither of them talking and doing their thing. Jason arrives all excited at work. Britt bursts out laughing when she sees Jason. At that moment the camera shows the bunch of dandelions Jason is holding. Tom's eyebrows raised and he opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something but in the end he doesn't say anything shaking his head before leaving. Jason tells Britt that Tom probably doesn't like him. Britt shook her head saying that Tom didn't like anyone. Then she thanks Britt for the flowers saying they are adorable as she puts them in a glass full of water. Then she moves on to the subway ride the previous morning. She said that the man she observed on the trip is an evil man and she fears that she might harm that red-haired girl. She britt then tells her not to ask how she knows. Jason changes the subject by pointing to the dandelions saying that he had done a research on them. He says that in 1800 people blew on us after going to sow and if all the seeds flew away, the object of your affection shared your feelings. After a moment's pause Jason ends the sentence by saying that she could not yet know but that she could be in love with him. Britt laughed her a moment before feeling saddened by her saying that she would like to meet Jason before her. Jason asks what he meant and she said she can't explain it. At this point Jason tried to change the subject by proposing to the girl if she wanted to see her bike. The girl smiles and The girl began to circle around her center, touching it with her fingers. Britt said she was cute but also dangerous and that she could even kill like her cousin Billy a few years ago. Jason says yes but then adds that she is a careful person. The night continues quietly until 4:17. The phone starts ringing like the night before, upsetting Britt again. Jason wondered inwardly if he could be connected to the creepy subway man. Just before the shift change she Britt says she has a strong feeling that the man was going to hurt that red-haired girl that morning and that after her they will have to get to the subway quickly.

Soon after, a little early, Abel arrives for the shift change. He brings two jam croissants and two steaming coffees. They both greet kind Abel. Jason nodded to Britt if she wanted to have breakfast, but she said no. After a brief conversation between Abel and Jason, the man notices the bunch of dandelions and suddenly went pale and shivering starting to point to them. Jason said quietly that he took them for Britt. Abel approaches the boy, taking him by the shoulders, asking him if he knew Britt and if he had seen her. Confused Jason looks at the girl who was sitting on the sidelines of her noticing her eyes filled with tears and her hands outstretched in supplication. At that moment Jason noticed that she was dressed like her the night before. Abel started asking questions of Jason, who kept looking at Britt without being able to say anything while stammering. Britt stands up saying that Jason's grandmother apparently wasn't the only one seeing her ghosts and she walked through the wall disappearing for a few moments before returning to where she was. Jason nearly passes out leaning back in his chair when he hears Abel's voice as far away as in a tunnel. Abel gives Jason a glass of water and then takes a photo from a drawer.

The photo shows Britt on a poster that says MISSING. Her clothing was described as the last dress she wore was the one she had known her in those two days. Abel reveals that she Britt had disappeared six months before her by saying that when he arrived the next morning she had found the empty seat and a large amount of blood next to her phone (the one that rings every night at 4.17am). He said the cameras were installed later and the police found no clues. Jason tries to explain himself by trying to say that she was there, that he had been in her company the whole time. Abel couldn't believe it, he considered that girl like a daughter. They had worked together for a while until, due to a shortage of staff, she had had to work night shifts. Jason turns to Britt but she was gone. At that point he remembers her promise to the girl to accompany her on the return journey to check on the creepy man. Jason says he has to leave by promising Abel that he will explain everything to him the next day. Jason runs quickly to the subway. When Jason arrives, the vehicle was leaving, Britt is seated and gently greets Jason through the window glass. Jason comes home after learning that revelation, he has a shocked face.

In the evening Jason arrives at work and finds only Tom, who treated him with the same dislike as ever. Jason hoped Britt was there but this time she isn't there. Tom leaves and Jason is left alone. Time passes and around 4 he decides to take a tour of the storage depots until, after the last corner, he meets Britt. Jason screams like a little girl and she laughs Britt out loud saying that she hasn't been able to resist the temptation. Jason stutters about whether she Britt is real or if she's just freaking out. She replies that she is, or at least she was, but she says that she does not remember well because the memories are very confused and that in the last few hours she is managing to recover some fragments. Britt says that on the night of her passing she remembers hearing the phone at 4:17 and then when she answered she felt a great pain in her head. She then she said that they absolutely have to help the red-haired girl. She then she points her index finger at the security camera saying it must be crazy to watch the security cameras right now and she tries to touch Jason's arm again causing him to jump. Britt laughed again teasing him, apologizing amused a moment later. Jason looks at his watch, it was 4.20, the phone didn't ring that night. He asked why? The girl replies that maybe they are on the right path or because time is running out.

The next morning Abel arrives at work looking suspiciously at Jason asking him if Britt was there. Jason nods and Britt says to report to Abel that his wife Maggie always visits him and has a little girl named Daisy in her arms. When Jason reports it, Abel bursts into desperate tears. Abel reports that Daisy was his daughter who died several months after her birth and had never talked about it to anyone. Britt calls Jason's attention by saying they have to go right away. Jason pats Abel on the shoulder and follows Britt.

The two get on the subway, the red-haired girl is bending over her smartphone while the man is sitting in the seat behind her. At a certain point the vehicle stopped, the girl descends followed by the man. Britt and Jason take turns off a few seconds later. Jason follows the man doing everything he can not to be seen. It was early in the morning in an uncrowded area there was no one around. At one point the girl stops in front of a shop and starts rummaging in her purse to get the keys. At this point the man attacks the girl. The man quickly stops her and drags her into the nearby alley. He holds her pinned against the wall as he holds his hand around her throat. Jason ran there screaming to let her go. The man turns and taking advantage of this moment the girl begins to squirm and with the hands that she still holds in his hand she hits him and her key sticks in his cheek. The girl gives a wild tug, opening his face. With a scream from her he drops her holding his cheek full of blood and runs over to Jason. The two began to struggle by rolling in the middle of the road. Jason lets go by moving just in time as a truck doesn't have time to brake and runs over the bad guy. Jason hears Britt calling his name in a faint voice and turns to see her vanish without having time to tell her anything. Jason bursts into tears crushing his face into the asphalt and is approached by her red-haired girl who asks him if he was okay thanking him for saving her life and says that her name is Mika.

After that moment Jason's background voice marks some events. Jason who sometimes collected small bunches of dandelions and placed them in his office or apartment. Then the scene shows that the bad man, named Edward Barrett, was the owner of Unit 27, which is why Britt was afraid of that number and that it was that man who killed and made poor Britt disappear. Then Jason's voice in the background says that the remains of Britt's body were discovered by Abel and Tom while they were tidying up a garage full of old furniture and trash cans immediately recognizing the girl's military jacket. Then the scene shifts as we see some images of the commemoration in favor of Britt and then her grave where her body was finally put to rest forever while Abel and Jason were putting dandelions on top of it with the approval from Britt's mother.

Three years later Jason is riding the motorcycle around Nashville. Suddenly an old Camaro makes a risky move and crashes with Jason. Jason is thrown into the air and tumbles backwards. Jason remains there aware of the sounds and light but unable to move. Soon after, he is about to lose consciousness when he sees a dandelion on the grass next to him. Jason closed his eyes and passed out and the screen went black. Then Jason opens his eyes feeling something that spurred his side. He immediately recognizes Britt's boots and gets up off the ground, taking off her helmet and grabbing the girl's hand. The film ends by showing the dandelion and Jason's dead body on the ground as the two walk away on the grass. (Jason had seen the dandelion before he lost consciousness and had expressed a desire to see Britt again as the legend told the night of their first meeting).
