Plot: Karen Sisco (Willa Fitzgerald) enters the federal court building with her service shotgun when her boss Milt Dancey (Matthew Glave) brings FBI Agent Daniel Burdon (Jamie Hector) over to talk to her. Burdon begins to grill her on her relationship with Carl Tillman right out in the open. Milt suggests they take the conversation into his office. Once inside the privacy of Milt's office, Burdon becomes even more accusatory in his questioning. Karen asks why Burdon thinks Carl is a bank robber. Burdon presents his evidence, which Karen brushes off as purely circumstantial - all Burdon has is Carl matching a vague description and dating a bank teller, nothing that would ever hold up under scrutiny in a court room.

Karen talks to her father Marshall Sisco (Scott Bakula) about her run-in with Burdon and what he accused Carl of doing. She wants to figure out a way to tackle it without ruining things with Carl in the case he's not the FBI's guy. Marshall suggests she let it slip on her next date with Carl that she's a fed. Marshall says that if Carl doesn't have a big reaction, he's probably a good guy as she claims. If it changes his behavior in any way, he's probably a bank robber or at the very least not as much of a good guy as he has led her to believe.

Karen has Carl Tillman (Nick Gehlfuss) over for dinner at her house. She cooks dinner for him in skimpy lingerie. She explains that the meal is a shrimp scampi with shrimp fresh from the bay. Carl jokes that Karen clearly knows the way into a fisherman's heart: sex and seafood. Once the food is ready and the two are sitting at the table, Karen asks Carl if he has finally given up on guessing what she does for a living. Carl laughs that he's been having so much fun with her over the last couple weeks that it completely slipped his mind. Karen then reveals that she works for the US Marshal Service. He asks what that entails. She describes her job duties to him as mostly dealing with fugitives and protecting witnesses during trials. Carl then says he has a confession of his own. He tells her that he's been lying to her. He reveals that his boat was repossessed and sold by Florida Southern Bank when he fell behind on the payments. Karen asks if he is really even a fisherman or is that another lie. Carl insists he really is one and has been helping on a friend's boat until he can either buy back his boat or buy a new one.

The next day another branch of Florida Southern is robbed. The robber though does not act like Carl did. Burdon present the camera footage of the masked bank robber to Karen and Milt. Karen points out that this robber does not seem to act at all like the robber in the other instances - this robber seems less sure of his surroundings and procedure, evident by the fact that he got away with less money than ever before. Burdon says that he thinks Carl might just be trying a quicker and different style, but Karen says that this latest robbery makes it seem in her eyes even less likely that Carl is the robber.
