Reaction: Writer Ben Collins cannot be too happy with how this season turned out financially for his two films  (Dandelion and Midnight Tales) - the two lowest grossing of his entire LRF career. He'll have one chance to turn things around next season with one film on the release slate.

"While the film doesn't break new ground or gives much in new territory for story and/or character development, but it's Soderbergh calculated directing and George MacKay and Jodie Comer's chemistry and performance that makes a pleasurable ride to an artful end." - Merle Eliassen, Film Journal International

"Dandelion is a hard film to dissect as it appears that the filmmakers themselves had trouble figuring their own film out as well. The plot isn't necessarily confusing, but there are jarring tone shifts and some genre-identity issues throughout that hamper a decently plotted film filled with serviceable performances from talented actors. If the script from Ben Collins had focused better on one aspect of the story, it could have resulted in a much stronger, confident film." - Perry Manson, CinemaBlend.com

"While the film is a strange combination of genres, it somehow all works together well enough to succeed. Sure, there are certainly moments where things didn't work, but Soderbergh and Collins rounded up a great cast for this project. Far from a perfect film, but the film's issues don't hurt it too much (although the ending was fairly ho-hum)." - Gregory Fletcher, Los Angeles Times-Journal
