Plot: Karen Sisco (Willa Fitzgerald) has lunch with her father Marshall Sisco (Scott Bakula). She tells him that she isn't 100% sure that Carl is not a bank robber. Something has to be convincing Agent Burdon so strongly. Marshall asks how Carl handled her telling her about her job. She says that Carl didn't panic, but he did change the subject to something he was hiding from her. Marshall tells his daughter to simply ask Carl. She doesn't want to offend him in case he's innocent. Marshall says that if Carl really cares for her then he will understand - if he's innocent that is. Marshall then offers to spend a day or two digging into Carl for her in his capacity as a private investigator. Karen declines her father's services but thanks him for caring enough to offer. As Karen is about to get up to head back to work, Marshall offers his daughter one piece of advice: find a different boyfriend.

FBI Agent Daniel Burdon (Jamie Hector) finds Karen at the court house and asks her when she last saw Carl Tillman. She explains that she just got back from a trip to Detroit on US Marshal Service business the day before. He tells her that her man was busy, robbing two branches of Florida Southern while she was away. Burdon says that he's getting better, but he's still dumb and is bound to slip up. Karen becomes angry at Burdon. Her boss Milt Dancey (Matthew Glave) steps in and separates Karen and Burdon, ushering them both into his office to calm down and avoid a scene in front of the rest of the office. Burdon asks Karen for a favor - he wants her to try to bait Tillman and see what he does, ask him point blank about it. If Tillman can prove to Karen that he was somewhere else other than robbing banks over the past couple days, Burdon promises to leave Karen alone about the matter.

Carl Tillman (Nick Gehlfuss) comes over to Karen's house for a date. Karen fixes a couple of drinks and they have a seat on the couch. Carl excitedly begins talking about how he spent four hours to reel in an 8-foot marlin - then after all the effort, the guy that chartered the trip decided he didn't want the fish after all. Karen asks Carl if he happened to go to either of the banks that were robbed while she was out of town. Carl is taken aback by the question and claims he wasn't. Karen asks if he can prove it. Carl doesn't answer, simply staring at her for a long moment. He then gets up and announces he is leaving. Carl reaches for Karen's purse and pulls out Karen's gun. Carl takes Karen's phone and destroys it in the garbage disposal. Once Carl goes for the front foor, Karen quickly gets up and retrivees the gun her father gave her and tells Carl that he's under arrest. She pleads with him not to make this situation harder than it needs to be. Carl keeps moving toward his truck. She tells him that if he keeps moving toward the vehicle she is going to shoot him. Carl doesn't believe her and keeps going. Karen then shoots Carl, firing a single shot into his left thigh. Carl howls and hits the ground, bewildered.

Daniel Burdon arrives shortly and arrests Carl for the bank robberies. He tells Karen that Carl is looking at 20 years in prison and, based on the gunshot wound to his thigh, a long-term limp. Karen begrudgingly admits to Burdon that he was right about Tillman all along. Burdon tells Karen that she shouldn't take it personally - everybody dates the wrong person at one time or another.

Karen is at her desk filling out paper work regarding her shooting Carl. Milt says that it doesn't look great that she shot Tillman as he was calmly walking away, but he he'll do his best to make sure she avoids any disciplinary actions. Karen's phone then rings. She answers it and is surprised to find Ray Nicolette (Chris Klein) on the other line. He tells her that he has to come to Miami for a case and wants to know if she wants to have dinner with him. Karen thinks about it for a second before agreeing, saying it is a date. She jokes that she always told herself she would never go out on a date with a fellow fed, but that it has to beat dating a bank robber.

"While it felt like it could use another episode or two, Sisco’s first season is a fun crime thriller with hints of dark comedy throughout. The season really steps up a notch when it introduces Chris Klein into Karen’s life, and of course, the surprise guest star of that episode: an excellent against-type Dan Aykroyd." - Frank Estelle, Boca Breeze

"I would have liked this series to go on longer. Not because it feels too short, but because I fell in love with the Karen Sisco character by the end of the season. The tone of the season is vintage Elmore Leonard, joining Justified as another great television adaptation of the author's work. The season told a complete story in its six episodes, so it will be interesting to see where things go in potential future seasons." - Cal Crowe, Washington Globe

"The first season of Sisco is centered around Karen's relationships with the men in her life, clearly showing that she is living in a man's world. Willa Fitzgerald holds her own throughout the season's enjoyable six episodes. Just as the season felt like it was starting to go into a mid-season lull, the writer wisely took the title character out of her element for the Detroit episode that gave the series some extra life for the last couple of episodes." - Katie Barnes, Washington Herald
