This round we say farewell to Jack Ryder, at least for now. Here's The Roundup....
3. Chris Hemsworth
Personally, I didn't really like Bravo/Samurai as a whole film, but Hemsworth s effortlessly manages the comedy in the film that he the film's bright spot.
2. Alex + Ada
H.G. Hansen's best film yet. Once again, it just shows how much of an impact picking adequate source material can have. Where Maximum Ride is a lousy book, so the film can only be so good, Alex + Ada is a decent little comic series, making it easier to make a good film from.
1. Jack Ryder
So long, Jack. We've obviously had our differences, but you have written 23 films for the studio, and I hope that's not the number you finish with in the long run.
3. Samurai Jack
What was the point of him even being in Bravo/Samurai? The film really should have just been a Johnny Bravo film since Jack literally had no purpose in the story.
2. Village of Madness
I'll be honest, and I don't mean to sound harsh here, but I found Village of Madness to just be a very uninspired film that wasted a few really talented actors (like Joel Kinnaman and Scoot McNairy) in thankless roles.
1. Jack Ryder
I've heard some of the details regarding some of the films he had planned to write prior to him leaving for his break from the studio, and I'm a bit bummed that we might not get to see them or at the very least have to wait longer.
